Unihertz’s Titan 2, an Android phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard and square main screen, finished its 2025 Kickstarter campaign with 7,019 backers and HK$16,358,594 pledged—about 20.8 times its HK$785,000 goal. “BlackBerry-style” describes the phone’s keyboard-centric form, not a BlackBerry-made or BlackBerry-branded device. The campaign result is now historical; Titan 2 is listed for sale on Unihertz’s official site.
How much did the Titan 2 raise?
The Kickstarter campaign ran from June 24 to July 24, 2025. Its final record shows 7,019 backers and HK$16,358,594 pledged against a HK$785,000 goal. The total is about 20.8 times the stated goal, calculated from Kickstarter’s figures; the amount raised is reported in Hong Kong dollars.
Unihertz announced the campaign launch on June 25, while it was underway. The company’s founder and CEO, Stephen Xu, said, “We’re thrilled to unveil Titan 2 and deeply grateful for the incredible backing from our Kickstarter community.” That statement reflects the company’s response to campaign support; it is not independent evidence of demand across the wider phone market.

What kind of phone is the Titan 2?
Titan 2 is a 5G Android smartphone built around a physical QWERTY keyboard. The “BlackBerry-style” label is a shorthand for that keyboard-first design. It does not mean BlackBerry made, licensed, or branded the phone, and available sources do not establish that it reproduces a particular BlackBerry model’s typing experience.

Unihertz’s published specifications describe a 4.5-inch, 1440 × 1440 LCD main display and a 2-inch, 410 × 502 rear display. Its listed hardware includes a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G octa-core processor, 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance-test results.
What does the keyboard and hardware offer?
Unihertz says the physical keyboard supports customizable letter-key shortcuts, backlighting, multilingual input, scrolling gestures, and cursor control. The phone also has dual nano-SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared port, and USB-C.

The manufacturer lists a non-removable 5,050mAh battery with 33W charging. The rear cameras are specified as a 50MP main camera and an 8MP telephoto camera; the front camera is 32MP. These figures describe listed hardware, not independently assessed battery life or image quality.

- Headphone connection: no 3.5mm jack is listed.
- Charging: wired 33W charging is listed; wireless charging is not.
Which Android version does it run?
Unihertz’s product page gives Android 15 as the baseline software and says an Android 16 update is available through System Update. That means Android 16 is described as an available update, not the phone’s launch or baseline version. Check the update status on the device and the manufacturer’s current support information when buying.

What should buyers check before ordering?
At access on October 4, 2026, Unihertz’s official US product listing displayed a price of $489.99 and also showed $499.99 as a comparison price. Price and stock can change, so confirm the live listing rather than treating those figures as a permanent price.
Carrier compatibility is particularly important for a less common phone model. Unihertz cautions that support varies by region, city, and network configuration. The company identifies the US version as authorized for AT&T and Cricket, but advises buyers to check supported bands with their carrier. Verify the precise model variant and the bands needed where you will use it before ordering.

What does the crowdfunding result establish?
The campaign establishes that this particular Kickstarter project attracted thousands of backers and substantially exceeded its stated funding goal. It does not, by itself, show how many buyers across the phone market want physical-keyboard smartphones, establish long-term product satisfaction, or independently verify Unihertz’s performance and productivity claims. Those are different questions from whether the campaign met its goal.
