For a PC near the official recommended specifications, start with 1080p, High, and a 30 fps target. For a 60 fps target at 1440p on High, Naughty Dog specifies a substantially faster CPU and GPU. These are published target configurations—not a guarantee for every PC or scene—and the best settings depend on your hardware and preferred balance of image quality and frame rate.

This guide covers UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC, the collection of UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy. It is a single-player collection developed by Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy and published by PlayStation Publishing, according to the Steam listing.
Match your resolution and frame-rate goal to your PC
Naughty Dog’s PC specifications, published September 28, 2022, describe four target configurations. Treat them as starting points rather than independent benchmark results: performance can vary by system and gameplay scene.

Recommended settings by hardware class
PC near the minimum tier
Start at 720p with the Medium preset and a 30 fps goal. If the image is too soft or performance is inconsistent, prioritize a stable frame rate over raising the resolution or quality preset. The minimum tier lists an HDD as acceptable, but Naughty Dog recommends an SSD even at this baseline.

PC near the recommended tier
Start at 1080p, High, targeting 30 fps. This is the clearest default for a machine around the listed Intel i7-4770 or Ryzen 5 1500X CPU and GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 570 4 GB graphics class.
PC near the Performance tier
Try 1440p on High with a 60 fps goal if your CPU and GPU are close to the listed i7-7700K or Ryzen 7 3700X and RTX 2070 8 GB or RX 5700 XT 8 GB class. If your frame rate falls short, reduce the rendering workload or selected visual options before assuming the tier target will hold in every scene.

High-end PC near the Ultra tier
Try 4K on Ultra with a 60 fps goal if your hardware is close to the listed i9-9900K or Ryzen 9 3950X and RTX 3080 10 GB or RX 6800 16 GB class. The published tier is a target configuration, not a guarantee for all systems.
How to tune settings when performance is below target
- Choose a realistic target first. Decide whether resolution or frame rate matters more to you, then use the closest official tier as your starting point.
- Apply the matching preset. Use Medium or High as a baseline for the corresponding hardware class; reserve Ultra for a PC near the listed 4K tier.
- Test FSR 2 if native rendering is too slow. The PC feature description confirms support for FSR 2 temporal upscaling, intended to boost frame rates on compatible graphics cards. It does not specify a guaranteed uplift or a universally best quality mode. See PlayStation’s PC features page.
- Adjust one visual option at a time. Texture and model quality, anisotropic filtering, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion are adjustable. Change one, replay the same scene, and compare frame rate and image quality; the official feature information does not rank these options by universal performance cost.
- Check storage expectations. Naughty Dog lists an SSD for its recommended and higher tiers, while the minimum tier allows an HDD. An SSD is a storage recommendation, not a documented way to increase frame rate.
- If issues persist, verify the installation and check for updates. Naughty Dog’s version 1.1.20381 release notes, dated October 28, 2022, say “General stability & performance improvements.” That dated note does not establish which PC version is latest today. See the version 1.1.20381 notes.
PC features and console modes are different
PlayStation lists support for 4K and ultrawide monitors, GPU and VRAM detection and management options, and adjustable graphics features including textures, models, anisotropic filtering, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion. Those features do not amount to a specific recommended setting combination for every current GPU.

Do not confuse the PC tiers with the console collection’s Fidelity, Performance, and Performance+ display modes. Naughty Dog’s console display-mode information describes targets of 30, 60, and 120 fps respectively, with Performance+ requiring a compatible 120 Hz display. The PC guidance instead pairs hardware classes with resolution, frame-rate goals, and graphics presets.
