The Ultion Nuki 2025 is a premium UK smart-lock package that pairs an Ultion 3 Star PLUS cylinder and door furniture with Nuki’s Smart Lock Pro platform. Ultion listed the standard model at £339 on 4 October 2026. Its main appeal is combining mechanical lock hardware with built-in Wi-Fi and smart-home features; the key caveat is that it is not a universal retrofit, so door fit and configuration need checking before you buy.
What is the Ultion Nuki 2025?
Unlike a retrofit unit that simply mounts over an existing interior thumbturn, the Ultion Nuki 2025 is a combined lock package. TechRadar describes it as bringing together Brisant Secure’s Ultion 3 Star PLUS cylinder and UK-specific door furniture with Nuki’s Smart Lock Pro platform. The product listing advertises built-in Wi-Fi and compatibility with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, Nuki, smart watches and Matter. These compatibility labels do not, by themselves, establish that every hub, device or automation works in every setup.
TechRadar’s reviewer, in a review first published in April 2026, installed the lock as their primary door lock and tried app operation over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Apple Home, Auto Unlock geofencing, keypad and fob entry, timed guest codes, physical-key override, handle-lifting requirements and low-battery notifications. The review describes the 2025 model as slimmer, quicker and quieter than the earlier Ultion Nuki Plus, and notes built-in Wi-Fi and Matter support. Price and included options
Ultion’s standard product listing showed £339 on 4 October 2026. Prices and availability can change, so check the live listing before ordering. The manufacturer lists these add-ons separately:

Those features and accessory prices are manufacturer descriptions, not independently verified performance findings. Ultion also lists a separate £378 version intended to work with an Ultion Bolt; that is a different variant, not the standard model reviewed here. The £299 figure appearing in TechRadar’s drawback section does not match Ultion’s £339 listing on 4 October 2026, so use the manufacturer’s current listing for a purchase decision.
Will the Ultion Nuki fit your door?
Do not assume fit just because your door is in the UK. Ultion says the lock uses existing fixing holes and is designed for common UK push-down handles, with an escutcheon configuration also available. Its FAQ gives handle-fixing distances of 215 mm, 211 mm or 122 mm, and a 92 mm distance from spindle centre to cylinder centre. The design is intended for doors where the handle must be lifted to engage the mechanism.
- Measure the handle-fixing distance and the spindle-centre-to-cylinder-centre distance against Ultion’s figures.
- Confirm the door’s handle movement and locking mechanism; the handle-lifting requirement matters.
- Ask Ultion or an installer to confirm the cylinder, handle and escutcheon configuration for your specific door before ordering.
- Check with the seller whether you can keep your outside handle or need a replacement.
Ultion says existing Ultion owners can provide their key code when ordering to have the new lock work with their existing Ultion key, with no charge for that service according to the current listing. Wi-Fi, Matter and everyday access
Ultion advertises built-in Wi-Fi for control from anywhere, as well as Bluetooth/local operation. The manufacturer also marks the product as compatible with Matter and major smart-home platforms, while TechRadar reports its reviewer tested Apple Home and describes Matter support. Because integrations can depend on particular devices, hubs and software, confirm the requirements for your existing setup before purchase.
The distinction between local and remote access matters: according to Ultion, a Wi-Fi or power interruption affects internet-dependent remote connections, but local use by phone, keypad or fob remains possible, as does key access. That is not the same as being able to control the lock remotely while your internet connection is unavailable.
Battery life and what happens if power runs out
Ultion estimates that the integrated rechargeable battery lasts up to nine months and takes about two hours to recharge over USB-C. Those are the manufacturer’s estimates, not a measured battery test; actual duration may vary with use and conditions. Ultion says the app and lock LEDs give a warning when battery is below 20%.

If the battery is depleted, Ultion says the physical key and inside manual dial continue to operate the mechanical lock. TechRadar’s reviewer also reports testing physical-key override. The review lists a non-universal charging lead as a drawback, so check that the supplied cable suits your charging arrangements.

Ultion says the package includes its 3 Star PLUS cylinder, carries the BSI Kitemark and is backed by a £5,000 security guarantee activated online or in the Ultion Protect app. The manufacturer also says Nuki Smart Lock reaches AV-TEST level 3 and that lock communications use end-to-end encryption. These are manufacturer-presented claims; the guarantee should not be treated as insurance or unconditional coverage. Read the applicable terms and certification details before relying on them. The Go is a separate product configuration, not simply another name for the reviewed 2025 model. Ultion’s overview lists Go at £239, with remote access as an in-app purchase, four AA batteries and an optional rechargeable battery pack. Its 5 June 2025 launch announcement stated a £45 one-time remote-access activation in the Nuki app; that launch detail should not be confused with the standard 2025 model’s built-in Wi-Fi listing.

Who should consider it—and who should look elsewhere?
The package is most relevant to a buyer who wants a connected lock integrated with replacement cylinder/door hardware and whose door meets the fit requirements. Its price reflects that broader package, not only a motor fitted over an existing lock.

- Consider another route if you rent and cannot replace the cylinder or change door hardware. TechRadar suggests a retrofit lock for renters in that situation.
- If you already have a suitable cylinder, TechRadar identifies the standalone Nuki Smart Lock Pro as a possible alternative.
- If you need a retrofit option, TechRadar names Yale Linus L2 as another product to consider. Fit and feature suitability still depend on your door and setup.
Compare alternatives by whether they replace the cylinder and handle or fit over existing hardware, door compatibility, built-in versus paid/add-on remote access, smart-home support, backup access and power, and the total price including any accessories. The available evidence does not establish one best option for every door or household.
