The UGREEN Revodok Maxidok 17-in-1 is a feature-rich Thunderbolt 5 dock with two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, 2.5GbE, an M.2 SSD slot, and a 240W power adapter. It can be a strong fit for a compatible high-end laptop or desktop, but its headline display and charging capabilities depend on the host and connection. It is not automatically the best-value choice for older computers that cannot use its extra bandwidth or features.

What the Revodok Maxidok 17-in-1 offers

UGREEN’s US product page lists 17 ports, a 240W power adapter, and an internal M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 slot that supports drives up to 8TB. Its stated Thunderbolt 5 transfer rate is up to 120Gbps; actual performance depends on the connected computer, cable, and devices. UGREEN’s product listing describes the following connections:

Connection or feature Manufacturer-listed specification
Downstream Thunderbolt 5 Two ports, up to 120Gbps
USB-A Three ports, 10Gbps
USB-C Three ports, 10Gbps
Video DisplayPort
Ethernet 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
Card readers SD reader rated at 312MB/s and TF reader
Storage expansion M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4, up to 8TB
Audio Audio connections
Host charging Up to 140W, subject to USB Power Delivery 3.1 support
Power adapter 240W

The chassis separates frequently accessed front connections from ports intended for a desk setup at the back. The reviewer also describes a power button and a covered M.2 slot on the underside. That layout may suit a dock that stays on a desk while you connect and disconnect accessories at the front.

Display support depends on the computer

UGREEN advertises support for one display at 8K and 60Hz or two displays at 6K and 60Hz. These are dock-level headline specifications, not a guarantee that every connected computer can output those configurations. The host’s graphics hardware, operating system, and supported display paths determine the usable number of screens, resolutions, and refresh rates.

AppleInsider’s review says triple extended displays require a Thunderbolt 5 host. UGREEN’s Thunderbolt 5 series FAQ also warns that some USB4 laptops may not support dual displays. Check the exact laptop or desktop model’s display-output limits before buying, especially if your setup depends on multiple external monitors.

Compatibility: check your exact host

The review’s specification table lists Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, USB4, and USB 3.x compatibility, while noting that a host operates at its own supported limits. That broad listing should not be read as a promise that every port and feature works identically with every computer. UGREEN’s regional guidance is more restrictive for at least one case: its EU series FAQ says Windows Thunderbolt 3 laptops are not compatible.

  1. Identify your computer’s exact model and the capabilities of its USB-C or Thunderbolt port. The connector shape alone does not establish the protocol or display support.
  2. Check UGREEN’s support guidance for your region and the computer manufacturer’s specifications. Look specifically for Thunderbolt or USB4 compatibility, external-display limits, and USB Power Delivery support.
  3. Compare those limits with the features you need: number of displays, charging wattage, network speed, and whether you expect the host to use Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth.
  4. If any essential capability is unclear, confirm it for that exact computer before purchase rather than assuming that a USB-C connection provides it.

140W charging is conditional

UGREEN lists host charging of up to 140W, but reaching that figure requires USB Power Delivery 3.1 support along the charging path, including a compatible laptop and cable. The supplied adapter is rated at 240W; that figure is the adapter’s rating, not the amount the dock necessarily delivers to a laptop.

AppleInsider reviewer Mike Wuerthele reports that, in his test with a 16-inch M5 Max MacBook Pro, the supplied cable initially delivered 100W. After switching to a cable he identified as EPR-compatible, he saw 140W. This is a reported result from that setup, not a guarantee for other laptops or cables. If 140W is important, verify the laptop’s PD 3.1 support and the cable’s EPR capability.

Adding an M.2 NVMe SSD

The dock’s underside slot accepts an M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 drive, with UGREEN listing support for capacities up to 8TB. Check the drive’s dimensions and compatibility before buying; the capacity limit does not by itself confirm that every M.2 drive will fit or perform the same way.

Wuerthele reports testing Samsung 990 Evo Plus and Samsung SSD 9100 Pro 1TB drives, and about 5.3GB/s in a Mac Studio setup. Treat that speed as a result from the reviewer’s particular configuration, not as a guaranteed transfer rate for every SSD, host, or workload.

Is it good value?

The value case rests on whether you will use the dock’s combination of Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth, broad port selection, 2.5GbE, SSD expansion, and conditional high-wattage charging. A computer that cannot use the higher bandwidth or display features may not benefit from paying for that headroom.

Prices in the available snapshots are not a single verified current street price. UGREEN’s US product page showed $499.99 and a time-limited 26% discount when indexed in 2026. AppleInsider’s September 23, 2026 review gives a $499.99 MSRP and mentions lower price snapshots around $390 and $349.99 in different passages. Check the live listing before deciding; discounts and stock can change.

For context within UGREEN’s range, the review compares this with the company’s 10-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 model, which has fewer ports, 100W host power, 1GbE, and no M.2 slot. That is a useful feature comparison, not a controlled head-to-head performance test. The review also notes that cheaper Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 docks may suit older Macs that cannot take advantage of the newer dock’s bandwidth.

Who should consider it?

  • Consider it if your computer supports the features you need and you will make practical use of the Thunderbolt 5 connections, multiple displays, 2.5GbE, M.2 expansion, or higher-wattage charging.
  • Look at a simpler dock if your host is older, your display needs are modest, or you do not need the SSD slot and extra ports. Unused capacity adds cost without improving your actual setup.
  • Do not buy on the 140W or multi-display headline alone. Confirm PD 3.1 and EPR charging support, as well as the host’s actual external-display limits.

AppleInsider reviewer Mike Wuerthele called it a standout for price-to-features balance at a street price of about $350 in his September 23, 2026 review. That is his dated assessment at an observed price, not a current price guarantee or an independent market-wide ranking.
