The UGREEN NASync DXP6800 Ultra pairs six drive bays with dual 10GbE and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, making it unusually well equipped for creators and advanced home or small-business setups. But UGREEN’s published specifications do not establish a model-specific AI feature set or AI performance. Think of it as a high-end, flexible NAS—not a proven AI powerhouse—and weigh its hardware against the still-unverified software experience.
What the DXP6800 Ultra is—and what “AI powerhouse” does not establish
UGREEN describes the DXP6800 Ultra as a diskless six-bay NAS aimed at creators, advanced users, and small teams. Its hardware is built around an Intel Core 5 120U, which UGREEN specifies as a 10-core, 12-thread processor, and 8 GB of DDR5-4800 memory. The official product listing also names UGOS Pro, Docker, virtual machines, and business apps. UGREEN’s product page does not, however, identify a model-specific AI package, supported AI models, an acceleration method, local inference speeds, or AI limitations.
That distinction matters: a capable processor and support for containers or virtual machines may provide building blocks for workloads a user configures, but they do not establish a turnkey AI feature set or demonstrate how well AI tasks run. No AI benchmark or hands-on performance measurement is established here. The most defensible description is powerful NAS hardware with AI capability unproven by the manufacturer’s published model specifications.
Hardware and connections
The DXP6800 Ultra’s main appeal is the range of storage and connection options UGREEN lists. It has six SATA bays and two M.2 NVMe slots, with two 10GbE network ports and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The product page also lists HDMI specified as 8K and USB ports.

The 208 TB figure is a manufacturer capacity calculation, not a promise of usable capacity after RAID choices or filesystem overhead. Likewise, UGREEN’s 20G aggregation description is a vendor claim, not a measured transfer result; actual throughput depends on the network configuration, connected equipment, and workload.
Thunderbolt 4 or 10GbE: which connection fits your workflow?
UGREEN positions the interfaces for different jobs. It says Thunderbolt 4 is best suited to direct-connected work such as local video editing and large file transfers, while 10GbE is better for shared or multi-user access over a local network. That is a useful way to choose the connection, but it is the manufacturer’s intended distinction, not evidence that one interface delivered a particular speed in testing.

- Choose Thunderbolt 4 when: a workstation will connect directly to the NAS and the priority is a fast path for an individual creator’s editing or file-transfer workflow.
- Choose 10GbE when: several devices or people need access through a shared LAN, or when flexible network access matters more than a direct workstation link.
Either setup depends on the rest of the chain: host ports, cabling, switches or adapters where applicable, drive and SSD configuration, and the files being transferred. A high-spec port alone does not guarantee matching real-world speeds.

The DXP6800 Ultra is sold diskless, so the NAS price does not include drives for its six SATA bays. UGREEN’s U.S. product page listed it at $1,449.99 when accessed on October 7, 2026; that is a dated price snapshot, not a stable price guarantee. Budget separately for the storage drives you need, and check current compatibility information for exact drive and memory models before buying.

UGREEN says memory can be expanded from the included 8 GB to a maximum of 96 GB, but the published information cited here does not confirm exact supported module arrangements or part numbers. The page lists two M.2 NVMe slots; it does not establish a particular SSD recommendation. Buyers should verify current compatibility details rather than assume every memory module or NVMe drive will work.
Who should consider it?
The feature mix makes the DXP6800 Ultra most relevant to buyers who have a concrete reason to use its expansion and connectivity. UGREEN itself describes the intended audience as creators, advanced users, and small teams needing high performance and expandability.
