Tom’s Hardware reported a $37.79 Amazon price for UGREEN’s 10-port Gigabit PoE+ switch on September 30, 2026, calling it a record low. That offer is not confirmed as current: when checked October 3, UGREEN’s US product page showed $59.99 and “Sold out.” Check Amazon’s live listing for price and stock before buying.
What the reported deal was—and what to check now
Tom’s Hardware listed the switch at $37.79 against a $49.99 reference price, describing that as a 24% saving. Those are the publication’s dated deal figures, not a live price guarantee. The later UGREEN US listing displayed $59.99 and “Sold out,” so the reported Amazon offer may have expired or may be unconfirmed. Tom’s Hardware’s September 30 deal report; UGREEN’s product listing, accessed October 3, 2026.
The exact model is UGREEN SKU 35372US. Confirm the listing is for that model and check the current seller, price, and stock before treating it as a deal.
What you get: eight PoE+ ports and two uplinks
The switch has ten Gigabit Ethernet ports: eight PoE+ ports for powered endpoints and two uplink ports for connecting to your existing network. UGREEN specifies 1000Mbps connectivity and support for PoE+ (802.3at) and PoE (802.3af). Its listing describes the configuration this way: “UGREEN ethernet switch offers 8 PoE+ (802.3at/af) Gigabit ports (up to 30W each) and 2 Gigabit uplink ports, with a total power budget of 60W.” UGREEN product listing.
#1 Best Overall
- More Ports, PoE Ready: UGREEN ethernet switch offers 8 PoE+ (802.3at/af) Gigabit ports (up to 30W each) and 2 Gigabit uplink ports, with a total power budget of 60W. Ideal for efficient power delivery and seamless network connectivity
- Intelligent Power Management: If power exceeds 60W, it cuts ports in priority order (8–1) to prevent overload. It auto-detects PoE devices, supplies power to them, and transmits data only to non-PoE devices. Short-circuited ports shut off independently
- PoE Auto Recovery: In Extend Mode, ports 1–6 automatically detect and restart powered devices (such as cameras or access points) when they go offline or freeze, ensuring stable PoE operation without manual monitoring or restart
- One Touch, Three Modes: The unmanaged ethernet switch can easily switch between Standard, Port Isolation (VLAN), and Extend with one button. Port Isolation separates ports 1–8 to prevent network storms. Extend mode supports PoE up to 820 ft, ideal for security systems and long-distance deployment
- High-Speed, Low Latency: The ethernet splitter offers 1000Mbps connectivity for real-time, lag-free monitoring with security cameras, efficient IP phone connections for work, and enhanced performance for wireless access points across your network
How to understand the 60W power budget
UGREEN specifies up to 30W on an individual powered port, but the total PoE budget for the entire switch is 60W. That means you cannot assume all eight ports can supply 30W at the same time. Check the expected draw of every connected PoE device against the shared budget. UGREEN says that if total demand exceeds 60W, power is cut in priority order from port 8 to port 1. It also says the switch automatically detects PoE devices. UGREEN product listing.
Who might benefit from it
This layout suits a small wired setup that needs several powered endpoints without a separate power adapter at each device. UGREEN names security cameras, IP phones, and wireless access points as PoE use cases. Tom’s Hardware also mentions Wi-Fi extenders. For these devices, verify that the endpoint supports a compatible PoE standard and that its power draw fits the switch’s 60W shared budget. Tom’s Hardware; UGREEN.

- More Ports, PoE Ready: UGREEN PoE Switch offers 4 PoE+ (802.3at/af) Gigabit ports (up to 30W each) and 2 Gigabit uplink ports, with a total power budget of 60W. Ideal for efficient power delivery and seamless network connectivity
- Intelligent Power Management: If power exceeds 60W, it cuts ports in priority order (4–1) to prevent overload. It auto-detects PoE devices, supplies power to them, and transmits data only to non-PoE devices. Short-circuited ports shut off independently
- One Touch, Three Modes: The unmanaged ethernet switch can easily switch between Standard, Port Isolation (VLAN), and Extend with one button. Port Isolation separates ports 1–4 to prevent network storms. Extend mode supports PoE up to 820 ft, ideal for security systems and long-distance deployment
- High-Speed, Low Latency: The ethernet hub offers 1000Mbps connectivity for real-time, lag-free monitoring with security cameras, efficient IP phone connections for work, and enhanced performance for wireless access points across your network
- Plug and Play, Easy Setup: This plug-and-play ethernet splitter supports full-duplex and half-duplex modes. Indicator lights show the status. And the PoE ports automatically detect whether a connected device supports PoE and supply power accordingly
Other Ethernet-ready devices—including computers, routers, printers, TVs, and NAS drives—can use the switch for network connectivity, but that does not mean they draw power over Ethernet. They need their own power unless they support PoE. UGREEN lists cameras, computers, laptops, and routers among compatible-device examples; Tom’s Hardware gives other ordinary Ethernet examples. Modes, installation, and distance claims
Tom’s Hardware describes the product as an unmanaged, plug-and-play switch. UGREEN lists Standard, VLAN, and Extend modes, and says VLAN mode isolates ports 1–8. Its listing specifies PoE connections up to 820 feet in Extend mode. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently tested results; do not treat the stated distance as a guarantee for every cable, endpoint, or installation. Tom’s Hardware; UGREEN.

- PLUG-AND-PLAY SETUP: No software, no configuration needed. Connect your devices and the switch works immediately with auto-MDI/MDIX on all ports and automatic PoE device detection
- REAL-TIME POE BUDGET MONITORING: The PoE MAX LED indicator turns orange when total PoE draw reaches 50W, giving you a clear visual warning before the 60W budget limit is reached
- FANLESS SILENT OPERATION WITH ENERGY SAVING: Completely fanless design with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet reduces power draw automatically during low-traffic periods for quiet use
What to consider before choosing it
- Power needs: Add the expected draw of the PoE devices and compare it with the 60W total budget, rather than treating 30W per port as available everywhere at once.
- Port layout: Eight ports are available for PoE endpoints; the remaining two are uplinks to the existing network.
- Management: The product is described as unmanaged and plug-and-play. If you need extensive switch-management controls, evaluate a managed model and confirm its VLAN and configuration features.
- Speed: The listed ports are Gigabit Ethernet. If your network needs multi-Gigabit links, this specification does not meet that requirement.
- Distance: Extend mode’s stated reach is a manufacturer claim of up to 820 feet, not an independent range test.
- Price and availability: The $37.79 figure was reported September 30, 2026; UGREEN’s page showed $59.99 and “Sold out” on October 3. Verify the live merchant listing rather than relying on the earlier deal price.
