TUXEDO announced the InfinityBook Max 16 AMD on March 6, 2026, adding an AMD-powered option to its 16-inch performance-laptop line. Buyers can configure it from a Ryzen AI 7 350 with RTX 5060 to a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with RTX 5070. It is positioned as a Linux-capable laptop, but its price, screen, graphics power limit and other details depend on the selected configuration; TUXEDO’s live product page is the place to check current prices, stock and delivery.
What TUXEDO launched
The InfinityBook Max 16 AMD is the AMD sibling to TUXEDO’s Intel InfinityBook Max 16. In its March 6, 2026 announcement, TUXEDO said pre-orders were open and expected shipping to begin at the end of March. That was the launch schedule, not a statement of current availability. Check TUXEDO’s product page for current configuration and availability details.
TUXEDO describes a full-aluminum chassis weighing just over 2 kg, a 16-inch 16:10 display and a 99 Wh battery. It targets work such as software development and media design as well as gaming. The exact weight and features can vary with configuration.
Processor and graphics options
The AMD processor choices are Ryzen AI 7 350, Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. TUXEDO identifies the HX 370 as a 12-core processor and says its Ryzen AI engine delivers up to 80 trillion operations per second (TOPS). That is a manufacturer specification, not an independent measurement. TUXEDO’s launch announcement lists the processor options.

Graphics are configurable with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU or RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. TUXEDO says the RTX 5070 option is roughly 15% faster than the RTX 5060 option; treat that as the manufacturer’s comparison, not a third-party benchmark. The current product page lists selectable total graphics power (TGP) ranges of 45–115 W for the RTX 5060 and 50–115 W for the RTX 5070. The selected power profile therefore matters when comparing expected performance and fan noise.
Display, cooling, battery and ports
Display options
TUXEDO’s launch material describes a 16:10, 2560 × 1600 panel with a 300 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Those figures describe a particular panel option, not every screen configuration: the product page also offers an OLED option. Confirm the selected display in the configurator before comparing it with another laptop.

Cooling and power
TUXEDO says the cooling system can dissipate up to 160 W of combined CPU and GPU power at full fan speed. This is a stated design ceiling, not evidence of sustained performance in an independent test. The laptop has a 99 Wh battery and supports USB-C charging up to 140 W; TUXEDO says the 240 W power supply is required to use full performance. The manufacturer also estimates up to seven hours of Wi-Fi video streaming, a vendor claim rather than an independent battery test. See TUXEDO’s product specifications.

Connections and external displays
The listed connections include USB4, a second USB-C port, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort, three USB-A ports, an SD card reader and RJ45 Gigabit LAN. TUXEDO says the laptop can support up to four external high-resolution monitors; check the manufacturer’s connection details for the relevant setup.

Linux support and upgradeability
TUXEDO lists TUXEDO OS, Ubuntu 24.04 and Windows 11 as operating-system choices. The company also describes pre-installed Linux drivers, in-house hardware applications and support staff trained for Linux. Those are manufacturer-provided support features; buyers with a particular Linux distribution or workflow should confirm compatibility and support scope with TUXEDO.
The laptop has two accessible, upgradeable RAM and SSD slots. TUXEDO states maximum capacities of 128 GB of RAM and 8 TB of SSD storage. The available product details do not identify exact third-party module or drive part numbers, so verify form factor and compatibility before buying upgrades. Launch prices and how to check today’s price
Launch prices are historical, not current quotes. TUXEDO announced a base price of €1,470 excluding VAT and import duties; its media page stated €1,749 including German VAT for that base configuration. It comprised a Ryzen AI 7 350, RTX 5060, 16 GB DDR5 (2 × 8 GB), a 1 TB Western Digital SSD and TUXEDO OS. VideoCardz reported a €2,199 launch price for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and RTX 5070 combination on March 6, 2026. TUXEDO’s launch announcement and VideoCardz’s launch report document those figures.
For a purchase decision, use TUXEDO’s live configurator and compare complete, like-for-like configurations. Prices can differ with processor, graphics, panel, memory, storage, country and tax treatment; the launch figures above do not establish current price, stock or delivery.
What to compare before choosing it
- Graphics configuration: compare the GPU model and selected TGP, not just the RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 name.
- Screen: check panel type, resolution, refresh rate, brightness and color coverage for the specific option.
- Portability: weigh the just-over-2-kg chassis and 99 Wh battery against the laptop’s performance-focused design.
- Upgrades: check memory and SSD compatibility before relying on the stated 128 GB RAM and 8 TB SSD ceilings.
- Linux support: compare the listed operating systems and TUXEDO’s Linux-specific drivers and support with your software requirements.
- Price: compare the same CPU, GPU power setting, panel, memory, storage, region and tax basis.
