The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3 is a wireless gaming headset built around unusually long battery life, two wireless connection types and app-based sound customization. Turtle Beach advertises up to 80 hours, and independent reviewers measured more than that in their own continuous-play tests. Its less certain strengths are comfort and isolation: reviews report firm clamping pressure, movement during use and limited blocking of outside noise. Most importantly, choose the right platform version—Xbox and PlayStation/PC models are not interchangeable for console compatibility.
Which Stealth 600 Gen 3 version should you buy?
Check the exact model name and compatibility on the listing before ordering. Turtle Beach sells distinct Xbox and PlayStation versions; SoundGuys says the Xbox version adds Xbox compatibility, while the PlayStation/PC model works with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. Turtle Beach’s compatibility list names Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PS5 and PS4, Windows 10 and later, and Bluetooth-equipped mobile devices including Steam Deck. The manufacturer notes that full compatibility depends on the model. See Turtle Beach’s product specifications and SoundGuys’ review.
That distinction matters even though both versions offer Bluetooth: a Bluetooth connection is not a substitute for the console-specific wireless compatibility. Confirm the listing’s stated platform support for the console you own.

Turtle Beach advertises 80 hours of battery life with quick charge. Independent continuous-runtime tests exceeded that figure, but those results describe particular review setups—not a runtime every owner should expect.

| Source | Reported runtime | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Turtle Beach | 80 hours | Manufacturer-advertised battery life on its product page, accessed October 4, 2026; not an independent test. Source. |
| SoundGuys | 83 hours, 42 minutes | Measured continuous runtime in its 2024 test. The review also reports a 10-day test period using firmware 6.96.14800.0 and Swarm II app 4.1.7. Source. |
| RTINGS.com | Just over 85 hours | Measured continuous battery life in a review dated August 6, 2024. Source. |
SoundGuys says a full charge took just over four hours in its test. Actual runtime can vary with use and settings, so treat the reviewers’ results as evidence of strong endurance rather than a promise. SoundGuys and RTINGS.com both found battery life beyond the manufacturer’s advertised figure in their respective tests.
What wireless connections and controls does it offer?
The headset supports low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.2. Turtle Beach’s QuickSwitch button changes the audio and chat source between those connections. In the company’s words, “The built-in QuickSwitch button lets you switch easily between low-latency wireless and Bluetooth® connections so you never miss a moment of action.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent performance finding. Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

SoundGuys describes the default sound as bass-forward with crisp highs, and says the app lets listeners adjust the tuning. That can be useful if the default balance is not to your taste, though EQ changes will not fix a poor fit or block outside sound. SoundGuys’ review.

Passive isolation is a notable limitation. SoundGuys reports weak isolation in low and mid frequencies, with better attenuation at higher frequencies; RTINGS also notes poor blocking of outside noise and some sound leakage. If you play in a noisy room or need to keep headset audio from bothering nearby people, that trade-off deserves attention. SoundGuys; RTINGS.com.
Is the microphone good?
Reviews are generally positive, with important qualifications. SoundGuys reports clear voice pickup against steady background noise but says loud, sudden sounds can break through. TechRadar praises the mic audio and AI-assisted noise reduction. These are reviewers’ observations from their own use, not a guarantee for every voice, room or call setup. SoundGuys; TechRadar.

Is it comfortable and well built?
Comfort appears to depend heavily on fit. SoundGuys found firm clamping force and uneven pressure that led to fatigue during longer sessions, and noted some give in the hinges and yokes. RTINGS describes the fit as comfortable in some contexts but says stability is only acceptable and the headset can shift with movement. TechRadar also lists comfort among the concessions. How does it compare with alternatives?
Reviews position the Stealth 600 Gen 3 as the more feature-rich, longer-lasting choice over Turtle Beach’s Stealth 500, while the 500 may suit buyers who prefer a lighter clamp or greater stability. RTINGS says the 600 Gen 3 has about twice the battery life and more controls and features; SoundGuys likewise describes the 500 as cheaper, lighter-clamping and offering about half the battery with fewer features. These are review-source comparisons, not current price quotes. RTINGS.com; SoundGuys.
SoundGuys also names the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 as a pricier alternative with stronger microphone recording and build, but less battery endurance. Prices and availability change, so compare current listings rather than relying on prices from older reviews. SoundGuys’ comparison.
Should you buy the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 3?
Consider it if long stretches between charges, 2.4 GHz plus Bluetooth, and adjustable sound and controls are priorities. Think twice if comfort under firm clamping pressure or passive isolation is essential, and verify the correct Xbox or PlayStation/PC variant before purchase. Older reviews list prices of $99 USD (SoundGuys, 2024) and $99.99 / £99.99 / AU$179 (TechRadar); these are historical review-price references, not current offers.
