President Donald Trump was reported to be traveling to Vandalia, Ohio, for a Saturday evening campaign appearance after stops in Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama. A report published October 3, 2026, described the Ohio visit as the end of a three-day stretch of campaigning in Republican-leaning states. The event was scheduled, but available reporting does not confirm that it took place.
Where was Trump scheduled to go in Ohio?
The reported destination was Vandalia. The Hill’s live-update coverage, as summarized in indexed search results, said Trump planned to speak there on Saturday evening. A secondary republication dated October 3 attributed a 7 p.m. start time to The Hill. That time should be treated as the reported schedule, not confirmation of an appearance.

What was the reported campaign itinerary?
The available summary listed stops in Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama before the Ohio trip. It characterized the itinerary as a three-day run of campaigning in Republican-leaning states, with the Vandalia appearance marking its end. “Red state” is the report’s shorthand for those locations; the itinerary alone does not establish a broader campaign strategy or the reason for choosing them.

The secondary account characterized Vandalia as being in a congressional district where a Republican incumbent had a decisive reelection lead. It did not identify the candidate, provide polling, or explain the basis for that description, so the characterization cannot be independently assessed from the available account.
The material available from the reports does not establish whether the speech went ahead, whether its schedule changed, or what Trump said. It also does not provide the full live-update coverage. The details above therefore describe the reported itinerary and plans, not a confirmed event or transcript.
