Triple Flag Precious Metals reportedly deployed US$550 million into new deals during 2026, with activity concentrated in Australia and the United States, according to Investing.com’s September 29 coverage of Mining Forum Americas. The clearest company-documented example is Northparkes E44: an US$84.3 million funding commitment tied to guaranteed minimum gold and silver deliveries. Hope Bay also appears in Triple Flag’s growth-project presentation, but the material available here does not establish its latest construction status.
What does the reported US$550 million deployment mean?
Investing.com reported on September 29, 2026, that Triple Flag said it deployed US$550 million into new deals during 2026, with activity concentrated in Australia and the United States. That figure is attributed to event coverage of Mining Forum Americas; it is not independently confirmed by a company filing in the sources cited here. Investing.com’s coverage
The figure describes reported deal deployment, not mine production or cash flow already generated. It also should not be read as an allocation specifically to Northparkes and Hope Bay: the available coverage names them as growth drivers, but does not establish that they account for the full US$550 million.
How Northparkes contributes to the growth story
E44: funded development with specified stream deliveries
On February 10, 2026, Triple Flag announced an agreement to provide US$84.3 million for development of the E44 open pit at Northparkes, payable in the fourth quarter of 2026. In return, the company is entitled to 20% of payable gold and 30% of payable silver, with ongoing payments equal to 10% of the spot price for each ounce delivered.
Evolution committed to minimum deliveries of 45,052 ounces of gold and 446,200 ounces of silver over 2030–2037. Those are specified future deliveries under the agreement, not evidence that the ounces have already been produced. Triple Flag’s February 10, 2026 announcement
E22 and the mill-capacity study
Triple Flag’s May 5, 2026 Q1 release said Evolution had approved development of the E22 block cave at Northparkes. The same release described a study examining whether to increase mill capacity from 7.5 million tonnes per annum to 10 million tonnes or more. The larger capacity was under study in that update; it was not reported as approved or completed.

Triple Flag CEO Sheldon Vanderkooy said: “Together with the potential mill expansion to 10 Mtpa or more, we view this development as a catalyst that surfaces significant value at Northparkes for our shareholders.” His comment concerns the Northparkes development and potential expansion, rather than the separate US$550 million deployment figure. What is established about Hope Bay?
Triple Flag’s June 2026 corporate presentation includes Hope Bay among its high-quality organic growth projects. That supports describing the project as part of the company’s growth portfolio, but the cited material does not establish Hope Bay’s latest construction status as of October 3, 2026. Inclusion in a growth presentation is not proof that a project is producing, under construction, or delivering forecast output. Triple Flag’s June 2026 corporate presentation
