The Tribit FlyBuds C3 pack active noise cancellation (ANC), multipoint, app-based sound controls and an IP55 rating into a budget true-wireless design. Reviews suggest they can be a strong value when priced near $40, but they are not a no-compromise pick: the default sound can be sharp, and one reviewer found calls echoey. Their ANC is useful for some nearby sounds, while battery estimates with ANC on vary by source.
Are the Tribit FlyBuds C3 worth buying?
They are worth considering if you want a low-cost pair with ANC, app EQ and the ability to connect to two devices, and you are willing to adjust the sound to your taste. Tom’s Guide’s reviewer said EQ changes helped make the sound impressive for the price, while Coolsmartphone’s Ian Furlong praised the light weight, comfort, app control and XBass. Both reviews leave room for compromise: Coolsmartphone found the stock tuning aggressive, and Tom’s Guide reported occasional tinny treble and echoey calls. Tom’s Guide review · Coolsmartphone review
At the $39.99 US price displayed on TRIBIT’s product page when accessed October 4, 2026, the feature set is unusually broad for a budget model. That price is a snapshot, not a promise of what a retailer will charge now. TRIBIT FlyBuds C3 product page

TRIBIT lists hybrid ANC, Bluetooth 6.0, 10 mm drivers, multipoint, app support, USB-C charging and IP55 protection. The specification sheet also lists each earbud at 4.0 g. These are product specifications or manufacturer claims, not proof that the earbuds match pricier models in performance. TRIBIT specifications

- App and sound: TRIBIT describes ten preset EQ modes, custom EQ and XBass. Tom’s Guide reports five ANC levels, three noise-control modes and an X-3D spatial-sound toggle; its reviewer found X-3D brighter, but somewhat crackly. Tom’s Guide review
- Device switching and game mode: The launch coverage reports multipoint and a game mode with a stated 55 ms delay. Treat the latency as a TRIBIT/launch-material figure, not an independently verified measurement. TWICE launch coverage
- Fit and protection: TRIBIT lists three sizes of ear tips and an IP55 rating. That rating indicates protection against dust ingress and water jets under the rating’s test conditions; it is not a claim that the earbuds are waterproof or suitable for submersion. TRIBIT product page
TRIBIT and launch coverage also describe an Intertek test in which no bacteria were detected after 28 days, and state 99.9% antibacterial effectiveness for the tips. The underlying test report is not available in the cited coverage, so this should be understood as a manufacturer-reported result—not a medical or hygiene guarantee. TWICE launch coverage
How good is the ANC?
TRIBIT advertises hybrid ANC of up to 45 dB, a manufacturer claim rather than an independent attenuation measurement. Tom’s Guide’s reviewer found the ANC useful against nearby conversation and low-level music. That is a positive result for everyday distractions, but the available review does not establish how effectively the C3 handles every kind of commute noise, such as persistent low-frequency rumble. The app provides adjustable noise-control modes, and launch coverage also lists transparency. The cited coverage does not provide a comparable laboratory test against other earbuds, so the “up to 45 dB” figure should not be used to rank the C3 against competitors. What Hi-Fi? launch coverage

How does the sound quality hold up?
The reviews point to a sound profile that may need adjustment rather than one that suits everyone out of the box. Coolsmartphone calls the stock sound aggressive for listeners looking for a flat response. Tom’s Guide likewise notes that the high end can sound tinny, but says EQ changes helped the reviewer get impressive sound for the price. XBass is available for listeners who want more emphasis in the bass. Coolsmartphone review · Tom’s Guide review

If you prefer neutral tuning, budget time to try the presets or custom EQ rather than assuming the factory sound will suit you. Tom’s Guide also reports that its reviewer found the X-3D mode somewhat crackly, so it is an optional effect to audition rather than a reason to buy. Tom’s Guide review
Are calls clear?
TRIBIT describes the C3 as having six microphones and AI noise reduction, but those are manufacturer specifications. In Tom’s Guide’s team-call test, the reviewer found calls echoey. That does not establish how every call or environment will sound, but it is a meaningful caution if clear voice calls are a priority. TRIBIT product page · Tom’s Guide review

How long does the battery last?
Battery estimates depend on ANC use, and TRIBIT’s own page gives two different ANC-on totals. The table keeps the manufacturer’s feature-panel figures separate from its detailed specifications and from Tom’s Guide’s review testing.
| Source and conditions | ANC off | ANC on |
|---|---|---|
| TRIBIT feature panel; product materials state figures at 50% volume | Up to 8 hours per charge; 35 hours with the case | 6 hours per charge; 25 hours with the case |
| TRIBIT detailed specifications; product materials state figures at 50% volume | 8+27 hours, 35 hours total | 5+17 hours, 22 hours total |
| Tom’s Guide review testing; reviewer says tests were at 50% volume | 8 hours per charge; 35 hours total | 6 hours per charge; 25 hours total |
The ANC-off total aligns across TRIBIT’s two sections and Tom’s Guide’s test. For ANC-on use, the feature panel and review report 25 hours total, while TRIBIT’s detailed specifications give 22 hours. Treat the higher figure as a stated estimate rather than a guaranteed result; volume, settings and use affect actual runtime. Tom’s Guide also says the C3 lacks wear detection. Quick Recap
Who should choose the FlyBuds C3?
- A good fit: Buyers seeking ANC, multipoint and app EQ in an affordable package, especially if they are comfortable tuning the sound and their main ANC need is reducing nearby conversation or low-level music.
- Think twice: Anyone who prioritizes natural-sounding calls, a reliably neutral default tuning, or independently measured ANC performance. The available review coverage flags echoey calls and treble harshness, and does not provide lab comparisons.
- For workouts: The IP55 rating and included tip sizes are useful specifications, but they do not establish fit security for every person or make the earbuds suitable for swimming or submersion.
