The Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Season Pass is a set of DLC released in three waves; it does not include every DLC item sold for the game. If you want most of the pass content, compare its current price with the individual items on your platform. If you want only one or two cosmetic sets, check those packs separately rather than assuming the pass saves money. The Steam Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Season Pass content, so existing owners should check for duplicates before buying.
What is included in the Season Pass?
The Steam listing schedules 19 Season Pass items across three release waves. Items are also sold separately on their release dates. The schedule is from the Steam Store listing accessed October 4, 2026; availability and prices may differ by platform or region.

Steam says the Season Pass does not include consumable item sets. Nintendo’s Season Pass listing likewise excludes consumable sets and items labeled Extra DLC. The PlayStation Store US listing includes references to Extra DLC Pack and Battle Boost Pack, so check the exact listing for your storefront instead of treating every DLC product as part of the pass. Steam also notes that pass content may change without prior notice.

No. The Steam Digital Deluxe Edition is described as the base game plus all content included in the Season Pass. That is not the same as every separately sold DLC item: the pass excludes consumable sets, and Nintendo also excludes items marked Extra DLC. Steam cautions that the base game and included DLC are available separately, so buying the edition after owning either can mean paying for content you already have. Steam Store listing

Which option should you get?
You already own the game and want most of the Season Pass items
Compare the Season Pass price with the prices of the specific items you want on your own platform and in your region. The official listings establish which items are included, but do not establish a complete price comparison across platforms, so there is no universal break-even point.
You only want one or two cosmetic sets
Price each desired item individually on your platform’s storefront. The items are offered separately, and the available information does not show that the pass is always cheaper than buying a small selection.

You are considering the Digital Deluxe Edition
Check your library and purchase history first. On Steam, the edition includes the base game and Season Pass content, both of which are sold separately.
You want a physical collector package
The Golden Wings edition is a collector package, not just a DLC pack. The official product page lists the standard game, SteelBook, artbook, mini soundtrack CD, model diorama, collector box, and digital Season Pass. That contents listing does not establish current stock; confirm availability and seller terms before ordering. Official product page

Which platforms have the game and DLC?
The official product page lists Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Nintendo’s US store lists Switch 2 DLC examples, while the PlayStation Store US listing includes PS5 DLC products. Store catalogs and prices can vary by region. Buy DLC through the same platform storefront as the game, and confirm the product is for the correct console version before checkout.
A physical standard game-card edition is listed for Switch and Switch 2. It can be an option if you do not yet own the base game, but the game card is not itself a DLC pack. Nintendo of America listing · PlayStation Store US listing
