Proton VPN, Private Internet Access (PIA), NordVPN and ExpressVPN all advertise VPN locations in Andorra. The available information confirms that PIA’s Andorra la Vella endpoint is virtual and that Proton’s Andorra servers use Smart Routing; it does not establish whether NordVPN’s or ExpressVPN’s endpoints are physically inside the country. A listing can provide an apparent Andorran IP without proving that the server hardware is in Andorra, or that a particular streaming service will work.
What an Andorran VPN location does—and does not—tell you
A VPN routes your connection through a provider’s endpoint, so websites and other services may see the endpoint’s IP address rather than your usual one. Selecting “Andorra” in an app is evidence that the provider offers an Andorra-labeled route; it is not, by itself, proof that the server hardware is physically in Andorra. A virtual location can use infrastructure elsewhere while presenting an IP associated with the selected country.
That distinction matters if you specifically need a geographically local connection, rather than an IP that services identify as Andorran. IP geolocation can also vary between databases and services. The provider pages discussed here do not independently establish current geolocation accuracy or access to any named streaming service.

| Provider | What its published information says | Endpoint type established? | Andorra access requirement stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Proton VPN | Its Andorra page says paid-plan users can connect to Andorran servers, which it describes as Smart Routing locations. Proton VPN’s Andorra server page | Smart Routing is stated; physical server location is not established by the cited page. | Paid plan. The page says free service does not include free Andorran servers. |
| Private Internet Access (PIA) | Its Andorra page identifies an Andorra la Vella virtual server; its support location list also includes Andorra. PIA’s Andorra page and PIA’s server-location list | Yes. PIA calls the Andorra la Vella endpoint virtual. | Not stated in the cited location pages. |
| NordVPN | Its server directory lists Andorra as one city and says its network includes physical and virtual locations. NordVPN’s server directory | No. The directory does not identify the Andorra endpoint’s type. | Not stated in the cited directory. |
| ExpressVPN | Its Andorra page says users can connect to a location in Andorra. ExpressVPN’s Andorra page | No. The cited page does not establish whether the endpoint is physical or virtual. | Not stated in the cited page. |
These pages establish advertised locations and the stated details above, not a comparative test of privacy, speed, security, or streaming access. Provider claims about those features should be treated as the providers’ own claims, not as independently verified results.

How to choose for your use case
If you need an Andorra-associated IP
Start by checking whether Andorra appears in the provider’s current app and whether your subscription includes that location. Proton explicitly says its paid plan includes Andorran servers and that its free service does not include a free Andorra server. PIA, NordVPN and ExpressVPN publish Andorra location information, but the cited pages do not state the subscription requirement for that location.
If you need hardware physically in Andorra
PIA’s published Andorra la Vella endpoint is virtual, so it does not meet a requirement for hardware physically in Andorra. For NordVPN and ExpressVPN, the cited pages do not settle the question. Ask the provider directly or check the current app’s endpoint details before subscribing; do not infer physical placement from the country label.

If you need streaming access
A country-specific IP is not a guarantee that a streaming platform will accept the connection. The pages cited here do not provide independent, current tests of particular services. Check the provider’s current location availability and the streaming service’s applicable terms, and avoid relying on a provider’s general compatibility claim as a tested guarantee.

- Confirm availability: open the provider’s current app or server directory and check that Andorra is still listed for your plan and device.
- Check the endpoint type: if local physical infrastructure matters, look for an explicit statement identifying the Andorra endpoint as physical. Ask support if the provider does not say.
- Test the result you actually need: connect, then check the IP country with the service or system relevant to your use. If access to a particular site or platform matters, test that service directly; a location label alone cannot confirm compatibility.
- Review privacy and security evidence separately: consult the provider’s privacy policy and any published independent audit materials. The location pages cited above do not constitute independent comparative validation of privacy or security.
Are any of these a proven fastest or most secure choice?
No comparative winner is established by the cited material. Proton advertises 10-Gbps servers and says its VPN Accelerator can improve speed by over 400% in certain circumstances; these are Proton’s own claims, not independent comparative measurements. PIA also advertises security features and 10-Gbps capacity, while ExpressVPN promotes privacy and streaming benefits. Those statements do not show how the services perform relative to one another on an Andorran connection. The cited pages likewise do not establish current comparative speed, streaming compatibility, or IP geolocation accuracy.
