The top 5 agentic AI website builders that actually ship are Wix Harmony, Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit Agent, and v0. Wix Harmony is safest for a conventional business website; Lovable is strongest for a full-stack MVP; Bolt.new is fastest for a hosted prototype; Replit Agent suits backend-heavy apps; and v0 fits Vercel and Next.js teams.
An impressive first screen is not the same as a shippable website. For this comparison, “actually ship” means a builder can produce a live, usable site or web app, provide a credible path to hosting and a custom domain, support meaningful post-launch changes, and handle enough production requirements to move beyond a disposable demo.
The ranking is based on deployment, editing after launch, backend capability, ownership and portability, operational fit, cost predictability, and audience—not on which tool produces the most attractive first screenshot. The shortlist and pricing information below reflect the research snapshot dated August 18, 2026; prices are US dollars and can change.
Key takeaways
- Wix Harmony ranks first for business websites because Aria combines natural-language creation with visual editing, managed hosting, SEO, accessibility tools, ecommerce, bookings, and other business functions.
- Lovable is the strongest general-purpose prompt-to-product choice for authenticated MVPs, SaaS prototypes, internal tools, and data-oriented web apps, but moving its cloud infrastructure elsewhere can require migration work.
- Bolt.new offers a direct browser-to-hosted-prototype path with hosting, databases, Figma and GitHub import, but larger projects can consume more tokens as more project context is processed.
- Replit Agent is the most integrated development environment for backend-heavy applications, with databases, connectors, secrets, collaboration, and multiple deployment types, but it requires more technical oversight.
- v0 is the best fit for teams already using React, Next.js, GitHub, and Vercel; v0 is less suitable for nontechnical owners seeking built-in business operations or a traditional CMS.
What are the top 5 agentic AI website builders that actually ship?
The five strongest options are Wix Harmony, Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit Agent, and v0, but the tools fall into two different categories. Wix Harmony is a managed website platform with an AI agent. Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit Agent, and v0 are agentic application-building environments that can also create websites.

| 5 | v0 | Frontend-heavy products in the Vercel and Next.js ecosystem | Direct Vercel deployment | High through code and GitHub workflows | Backend and deployment configuration may require a developer |
How were these AI website builders judged?
The ranking asks whether a generated project can survive the period after launch. A builder scores well when it can plan and execute multi-step changes, understand an existing project, publish without a separate toolchain, support a custom domain and production services, preserve existing functionality during edits, and provide a credible ownership or exit path.
1. Agentic depth
An agentic builder should do more than autocomplete code or generate one page. The useful test is whether the system can change existing files, pages, data models, navigation, integrations, and permissions while considering the rest of the project.
2. Shipping path
A public preview is not enough. A serious builder needs a route to hosting, SSL, a custom domain, persistent data where required, and continued deployment. Free subdomains are useful for testing but should not be confused with a complete production setup.
Recommended Free Tools
3. Post-launch editing
The most revealing test is a second-week change: add a page, alter mobile behavior, update metadata, add a reusable component, or change a data field without breaking forms and navigation. A tool that creates a good first draft but cannot safely revise an existing project has limited production value.
4. Production capabilities
Authentication, data persistence, payments, forms, email, analytics, SEO controls, accessibility support, APIs, integrations, error handling, and authorization all matter. A generated login screen or database schema is not proof that the resulting application is secure or production-ready.
5. Ownership and portability
Code download and GitHub synchronization are useful, but they do not automatically make a project portable. A migration may also require replacing the platform’s database, authentication, storage, serverless functions, billing, and deployment configuration.
6. Cost predictability
The real cost can include a subscription, AI credits or tokens, hosting, runtime, storage, database use, domains, team seats, image generation, and payment-processing fees. A free plan may be adequate for a demo while being unsuitable for a branded or high-traffic production site.
1. Wix Harmony: What is the best AI builder for a real business website?
Wix Harmony is the best overall choice for a conventional business website because it combines Aria’s natural-language creation with a conventional visual editor and mature business infrastructure. Wix Harmony can generate pages, sections, images, content, custom components, and business features while allowing drag-and-drop and pixel-level manual editing.
Wix says Harmony combines “vibe coding” with manual editing and includes managed hosting, SEO tools, accessibility features, multi-cloud infrastructure, checkout, bookings, and courses. Those vendor-documented capabilities give Wix a significant advantage when “ship” means launching and operating a business rather than assembling an application stack.
Wix’s launch announcement describes Aria as an AI agent that can perform tasks such as changing a color palette, redesigning a page, and adding commerce capabilities. The important distinction is that Aria works inside a broader website and business platform rather than producing only a standalone visual mockup.

|---|---|
| AI plus visual editing | Nontechnical owners can request broad changes and then make precise manual adjustments. |
| Business operations | Checkout, bookings, courses, content, SEO, and hosting are part of the platform’s intended use. |
| Operational burden | Wix manages more infrastructure than a code-first application builder. |
| Portability | Lower than code-oriented tools because the site is designed around Wix’s platform. |
Choose Wix Harmony for a local business, consultant, restaurant, service company, ecommerce operation, agency client site, portfolio, or content-led website. Do not choose Wix Harmony when the primary requirement is a portable React or Next.js codebase, unusual SaaS architecture, self-hosting, or unrestricted backend development.
2. Lovable: Is Lovable the best prompt-to-product builder?
Lovable is the strongest general-purpose prompt-to-product builder in this shortlist for founders and product teams that need more than static pages. Lovable describes its product as an AI software engineer for building websites and web apps by chatting, with a workflow that can extend into frontend code, application logic, authentication, data features, hosted deployment, and GitHub-based development.
Lovable’s main advantage is the continuity between specification and product iteration: a user can describe a feature, generate an application, add authentication or data behavior, publish the result, and continue development through the same conversational workflow. That makes Lovable a strong fit for SaaS prototypes, internal tools, dashboards, and authenticated MVPs.
Can Lovable projects be owned or exported?
Lovable’s official pricing information says users own the projects and code they build, subject to third-party rights in underlying AI models. GitHub export or synchronization creates a path toward external development and hosting, but code ownership is not the same as effortless infrastructure portability.
Lovable’s Cloud documentation acknowledges that exporting a Cloud project to Supabase is technically possible but not straightforward. A migration may require work on the database, authentication, storage, runtime configuration, and platform-specific services.
How does Lovable’s credit model work?
Lovable uses credits for building, hosting through Lovable Cloud, and AI features inside deployed applications. Lovable says the free plan includes 5 build credits per day, capped at 30 per month, plus monthly Cloud credits. Lovable’s examples show a small style change at 0.50 credits, adding authentication at 1.20 credits, and generating a multi-section landing page with images at 1.70 credits.
Credit rules vary by monthly, annual, and purchased top-up credits, and more complex applications or higher traffic can increase consumption. The pricing page should be checked before purchase because credit allowances and expiration rules can change.
| Lovable requirement | Assessment |
|---|---|
| Prompt-to-product workflow | Strong; designed for conversational generation and modification. |
| Authentication and data | Strong fit for application logic, authentication, and data-oriented MVPs. |
| Hosted deployment | Available through Lovable Cloud. |
| Code ownership | Explicitly part of the product positioning. |
| Migration simplicity | Limited; moving Cloud infrastructure can require substantial technical work. |
Choose Lovable for a startup MVP, authenticated dashboard, internal tool, SaaS concept, or founder-led product where speed and a future codebase both matter. Use caution for regulated production systems, projects with strict infrastructure requirements, or teams unwilling to monitor AI and cloud usage.
3. Bolt.new: What is the fastest AI builder for a hosted prototype?
Bolt.new is the fastest fit in this shortlist when the immediate goal is a working, shareable prototype or small JavaScript web application. Bolt.new works in the browser, creates and edits projects through conversation, supports Figma and GitHub import, and provides hosting and database features without requiring a local development setup first.
Rank #3

Bolt’s free plan includes website hosting, databases, public and private projects, and a limited number of web requests. Paid plans add custom domains, higher token allowances, larger file uploads, and removal of Bolt branding. That gives Bolt a direct path from an idea to a live URL, which is why it ranks ahead of more developer-oriented tools for rapid prototyping.
How much does Bolt.new cost?
The Bolt pricing page displayed the following US pricing snapshot when checked for this article: Free at $0, Pro at $25 per month, and Teams at $30 per member per month; Enterprise pricing is custom. The free plan listed a 300,000-token daily limit, 1 million tokens per month, Bolt branding, a 10 MB file-upload limit, website hosting, and up to 333,000 web requests. Pro listed no daily token limit, starting at 10 million tokens per month, custom domains, no Bolt branding, and up to 1 million web requests.
Bolt’s main cost risk is project context. The company warns that larger projects can consume more tokens because the AI may need to synchronize more of the project filesystem for each message. A low-cost first prototype can therefore become less predictable as the codebase grows.

- Whether authentication protects data rather than only displaying a login page.
- Whether database writes persist after refresh and deployment.
- Whether mobile layouts survive later AI edits.
- Whether a failed build can be reverted or repaired without unrelated changes.
- Whether the project can move into a conventional GitHub-based workflow if it outgrows the browser environment.
Choose Bolt.new for a hackathon, interactive demo, agency proof of concept, small custom site, or prototype that must be online quickly. Choose another tool when the application is large, the monthly bill must be highly predictable, or complex legacy code and deployment requirements are central.
4. Replit Agent: Which AI builder is strongest for backend-heavy apps?
Replit Agent is the strongest all-in-one option for backend-heavy applications because Replit combines an AI agent with a browser IDE, databases, connectors, secrets, collaboration, background tasks, and multiple deployment models. Replit Agent is closer to a complete development environment than to a conventional website builder.
Replit supports Agent’s autonomous build mode, Plan Mode for breaking work into tasks, Design Canvas and visual editing, external-service connectors, built-in databases and storage, secrets management, collaboration, and deployment from the same environment. Those capabilities are useful when the backend, APIs, scheduled work, and infrastructure matter as much as the interface.
What deployment options does Replit provide?
Replit documents static, autoscale, reserved virtual machine, and scheduled deployment types. Static deployments suit content sites and single-page applications; autoscale deployments suit variable traffic; reserved virtual machines suit predictable workloads; and scheduled deployments support background jobs. The Replit deployment documentation explains the differences and associated billing considerations.

How is Replit Agent billed?
According to Replit’s AI billing documentation, Agent usage is billed according to the effort involved in each interaction, including interactions that provide guidance or planning without changing code. Infrastructure and deployment consumption can add separate costs.
The Replit pricing page displayed Starter at free, Core at $25 per month or $20 per month billed annually, and Pro at $100 per month or $95 per month billed annually in the US snapshot used for this article. Core listed $25 in monthly credits and up to five collaborators. Pro listed $100 in monthly credits, up to 15 collaborators, stronger models, more agents, private deployments, and database rollback features.
Replit’s Starter plan documentation says Starter includes daily Agent credits and one free published app. Core unlocks full builds, connectors, Plan Mode, additional deployments, and removal of the Replit badge. Replit also documents a Secrets tool, but a secrets manager does not replace application-level security review.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems5. v0: Is v0 the best AI website builder for Vercel and Next.js?
v0 is the best fit for teams already committed to React, Next.js, GitHub, and Vercel, particularly when frontend quality and rapid interface iteration matter most. v0 has expanded beyond isolated UI generation: its pricing page lists Vercel deployment, Visual Design Mode, GitHub synchronization, full-stack app building, multiple model tiers, and team collaboration.
The v0 pricing page, which redirects to v0.app, listed a free plan with $5 in monthly credits, Vercel deployment, visual editing, GitHub synchronization, and a seven-message-per-day limit. The same pricing snapshot listed Plus at $30 per user per month and Business at $100 per user per month.
Why is v0 more developer-oriented?
v0 works particularly well when the user understands React components, Next.js conventions, GitHub repositories, environment variables, and Vercel deployment configuration. v0 can generate and visually edit interfaces, but a team may still need to configure backend services, permissions, environment variables, payments, and production monitoring.
Vercel integration and source-code access improve the development workflow, but they can also increase ecosystem dependence. A project may be portable at the code level while still relying on Vercel-specific deployment conventions or other managed services.

What should you test before calling an AI-built site production-ready?
A site should pass more than a visual review. Use the following launch checklist before accepting an AI-generated project as shipped.
- Deploy a real public URL. Confirm that the result is accessible outside the builder’s private preview and that the deployment survives a fresh browser session.
- Connect the intended domain. Test DNS, HTTPS, redirects, canonical URLs, and whether the required custom-domain feature is paid or unavailable on the free tier.
- Make a post-launch change. Ask the builder to add a page, update navigation, alter a reusable component, change mobile behavior, and update metadata while preserving existing forms and features.
- Test state and persistence. Create an account, log in, log out, save data, refresh the page, and confirm that the correct user sees the correct records.
- Test failure paths. Check empty, loading, validation, permission-denied, network-error, missing-secret, failed-build, and failed-deployment states.
- Review security. Keep production secrets out of prompts and frontend code. Check environment variables, input validation, authorization, rate limits, dependency risks, backups, and rollback procedures.
- Review SEO. Verify titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, sitemap, robots controls, structured data, Open Graph metadata, image alt text, page speed, URLs, and content workflows.
- Review accessibility. Test contrast, keyboard navigation, focus order, labels, headings, semantic controls, modal behavior, and alternative text. Wix advertises accessibility support, but platform tooling does not prove that every generated page is compliant.
- Confirm the exit plan. Download or synchronize the code, identify platform-native services, test database and authentication migration assumptions, and document how the site could be redeployed elsewhere.
What do AI website builders still fail to do automatically?
AI builders still do not automatically provide secure architecture, legal compliance, accessibility compliance, reliable SEO, performance validation, monitoring, backups, safe database migrations, or human quality assurance. Generated code can contain incorrect permissions, missing validation, broken mobile layouts, inaccessible controls, and fragile integrations even when the happy path looks finished.
“Full-stack” should therefore be treated as a description of the generated layers, not a guarantee of production-grade security, scalability, or architecture. A payment button is not the same as correct webhook handling, retries, refunds, permissions, and auditability. A login page is not the same as secure authentication and authorization.

Platform lock-in is similarly broader than source-code access. A project can have exportable code and still depend on proprietary databases, authentication, storage, functions, billing, deployment conventions, or managed APIs. Lovable’s documented Cloud-to-Supabase migration limitation illustrates why portability must be tested as a practical migration rather than accepted as a marketing phrase.
Are there credible alternatives?
Framer and Webflow are strong alternatives for polished, designer-led marketing websites. Squarespace and Hostinger Website Builder are better suited to conventional managed sites, with Hostinger emphasizing budget-oriented hosting. WordPress with independent hosting offers broad content ownership and ecosystem control but adds setup, plugin, hosting, maintenance, and security responsibility.
Base44 is worth monitoring as an AI-native application-builder alternative, but the available dossier does not establish enough evidence to rank Base44 above the five selected tools for portability, production maturity, or platform dependence.

Which AI website builder is best for a small business?
Wix Harmony is the best fit for most small businesses because it combines AI creation, visual editing, managed hosting, SEO tools, accessibility tooling, forms, bookings, courses, and ecommerce in one platform. The required Wix plan depends on the domain and business features the site needs.
Which AI builder is best for a SaaS MVP?
Lovable is the strongest general-purpose choice for a SaaS MVP when authentication, data, application logic, hosted deployment, and a GitHub-oriented ownership path matter. Lovable Cloud and credit usage should be evaluated before launch, especially if migration or traffic growth is likely.
Are AI-generated websites production-ready?
AI-generated websites can be deployed and used in production, but generation alone does not prove production readiness. Owners still need to test authentication, authorization, data persistence, payments, SEO, accessibility, security, performance, backups, monitoring, and failure recovery.
Which AI website builder lets you export the code?
Lovable supports code ownership and GitHub-oriented workflows, while Bolt.new, Replit Agent, and v0 are also more code-oriented than managed website platforms. Exporting source code does not guarantee an easy migration because databases, authentication, storage, hosting, and platform-specific services may need replacement.
Is v0 better than Wix Harmony?
Neither builder is universally better. v0 is better for developers and teams building React or Next.js interfaces in the Vercel ecosystem, while Wix Harmony is better for nontechnical owners who need a managed business website with visual editing, commerce, bookings, content, SEO, and hosting.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Choose the builder according to the thing you need to keep running, not the first screen the AI generates. Wix Harmony is the safest conventional business-website choice; Lovable offers the best balance for a prompt-built full-stack MVP; Bolt.new gets a small prototype online quickly; Replit Agent is the strongest integrated environment for backend-heavy work; and v0 is the clearest choice for Vercel, React, and Next.js teams.
Before launch, make a second-week change, test real user data and failure states, calculate ongoing AI and hosting costs, and verify how the code, database, authentication, and domain could leave the platform.
