URL Encoder & Decoder
Percent-encode text for URLs and query strings, decode %20-style URLs back to readable text, and break a query string into its parameters.
About this tool
URLs can only carry a limited set of characters, so spaces, accents and symbols like & or = are "percent-encoded" (a space becomes %20). Use "Encode a value" for a single query-string value or path segment — it escapes everything that has a special meaning in a URL. Use "Encode a whole URL" when you want to keep the URL's structure (: / ? & = #) and only escape what is illegal.
Decoding turns %XX sequences back into characters and reads + as a space, the way web forms send it. Any query string in the result is split into a readable list of parameters, duplicates included.
All encoding happens in your browser with the same functions (encodeURIComponent / encodeURI) that JavaScript itself uses.
