The Tontine Luxe Australia Optimum Comfort is a firm polyester pillow. Public information identifies its materials, care directions and some specifications, but CHOICE keeps its model-specific ratings and test results behind membership. That means the available evidence is not enough to call it comfortable, supportive or a good buy for a particular sleeper.
What the public review establishes
CHOICE categorises the product as a polyester pillow and records its claimed firmness as firm. Its comparison page, last updated 3 March 2026, includes the model among polyester pillows, but the product’s expert rating, test scores, recommendation and pros and cons are member-only. The public page does not establish whether this pillow passed or failed CHOICE’s tests, so those results cannot support a performance verdict.
CHOICE says its broader pillow testing considers comfort and support when new and after simulated use, deformation under head load, and separate results for side and back sleeping. Those are comparison criteria, not published results for this Tontine model. A firm label alone also does not establish that the pillow suits a particular sleeping position.

The product records do not line up on every detail. CHOICE’s specifications and the current retailer listings should be treated as separate records: the available pages do not prove that the item CHOICE assessed is the same production variant currently sold by those retailers.

Materials, care and product claims
CHOICE lists polyester filling and gives care directions of a warm machine wash on a gentle cycle, followed by drying flat. Its visible instructions also say not to bleach, soak, wring, tumble dry, iron or dry clean the pillow. Follow the care label supplied with the pillow you receive if it differs from the online page.

Bunnings describes its listed version as having a cotton japara cover, Climarelle Cool fabric lining, Ultrafibre filling and antimicrobial treatment. BIG W also describes an anti-microbial pillow. These are retailer or product claims, not independently established outcomes in the public CHOICE material; “cooling” or “anti-microbial” wording alone does not show how an individual sleeper will experience the pillow.
Is it worth the price?
CHOICE’s page shows $67 as the listed price and $62 as the purchase price, but those figures are page-specific and should not be treated as a current quote. Retailer prices, seller arrangements and availability can change. The reviewed BuyWisely comparison tracks shops including Amazon Australia but says Amazon price history is unavailable; a separate historical deal reference does not confirm an active Amazon listing. For a value decision, compare the current price for the exact variant with its listed height and firmness, dimensions, care instructions, warranty and the seller’s return terms. CHOICE’s public page does not disclose this model’s test outcome, so price alone cannot show whether it performs well relative to alternatives.
Who should consider it?
This is a reasonable candidate to investigate if you are specifically looking for a firm polyester pillow and the retailer’s listed profile and dimensions match your needs. However, neither the firm label nor the marketing descriptions establish that it will provide suitable support for your body or preferred sleeping position.
