Reports say the Denuvo Anti-Tamper disclosure disappeared from the Steam page for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on September 30, 2026. That does not confirm Denuvo was removed from the game itself: no official explanation was reported, and the change could have been a mistake. The final PC build’s DRM remains unconfirmed.
What changed on the Steam page?
Prima Games reported on October 5, 2026, that SteamDB history showed the Denuvo disclosure had disappeared on September 30. According to its report, the Steam page had displayed Denuvo since June 2026. Prima Games’ report attributes the date to SteamDB history.
DSOGaming also reported on October 5 that the label was missing, while noting that the change might be deliberate or an error. DSOGaming’s coverage likewise does not establish a change to the game’s executable.

No. A store-page disclosure describes what the listing says at a particular time; it does not, on its own, prove what DRM will be included in the shipped PC build. The reports concern the listing, not a confirmed change to the release build. Denuvo could still be added back before launch.

There is also a time-sensitive discrepancy: a Steam page capture opened for this coverage still displayed “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper,” but that capture predates the October reports. It cannot settle the current live-page status. Check the Steam listing for its current wording.
Why was the Denuvo disclosure removed?
There is no verified answer. The October 5 reporting did not cite a public explanation from Amazon Game Studios or the developers. The change could have been intentional or a listing mistake; claims that it was caused by performance, licensing costs, piracy, community pressure, or preorder strategy are not established.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining of the 1996 Tomb Raider, developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog and published by Amazon Game Studios. The official Steam listing gives February 12, 2027 as its release date. Amazon Game Studios announced that date on PlayStation.Blog; the post lists February 13, 2027 for Japan, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Since release is still months away, both the page disclosure and the publisher’s DRM plan may change.
