Toast V06 is a Colorlib invitation-notification template with two explicit choices—Accept and Decline—not a general-purpose toast library or a component maintained by Bootstrap. Its page says an unanswered invitation remains visible until the recipient responds; after either response, the buttons are replaced by a confirmation that closes after three seconds. That interaction is useful for an invitation, but its timed confirmation and actionable controls deserve an accessibility review before you use it.
What Toast V06 includes
Colorlib describes the template as a deep-teal card for board and meeting invitations. It shows the sender’s photo, a type badge and invitation details, followed by Accept and Decline buttons. The page is dated September 25, 2026, names Aigars Silkalns and lists a September 2026 release. See Colorlib’s Toast V06 listing for the example and download details.
The design is intentionally built around a decision rather than a fleeting alert: according to Colorlib, the unanswered invitation does not time out. When the recipient selects either response, the buttons are replaced by a short confirmation, which the page says closes after three seconds. That is the template’s described behavior, not a Bootstrap default.
How it differs from Bootstrap’s built-in toast
Colorlib says its 173 KB download uses HTML, CSS and a few lines of vanilla JavaScript, with no jQuery, Bootstrap files or plugins. It says the snippet can be used on its own or placed into Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 projects with the same appearance. Those are the publisher’s implementation and compatibility claims; independent testing across those Bootstrap versions is not established here. The word “Bootstrap” in the template’s name should not be taken to mean that Bootstrap maintains or supplies this particular invitation pattern.

Bootstrap’s own v5.3 toast is a separate JavaScript component. Its documentation says the plugin is opt-in, meaning developers must initialize it. Bootstrap’s default behavior is to hide a toast automatically after 5,000 milliseconds; setting autohide: false disables that behavior. These framework settings do not describe Toast V06’s three-second post-response confirmation. Read Bootstrap’s v5.3 toast documentation for its API and guidance.
Choose behavior that suits the message
| Choice | Behavior and implementation | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Toast V06 invitation | Colorlib describes a persistent invitation with Accept and Decline controls. After a choice, a confirmation closes after three seconds. | A decision-oriented invitation, provided the action remains accessible and the response is also recorded or communicated appropriately. |
| Bootstrap v5.3 toast plugin | An opt-in JavaScript component that hides automatically by default after 5,000 milliseconds; autohide: false turns off automatic hiding. |
Short status or informational messages, with timing and semantics configured for the content. |
| Standalone Toast V06 code | Colorlib says the download uses HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript without Bootstrap files, jQuery or plugins. | A project that wants the described visual pattern without relying on Bootstrap’s toast plugin, subject to checking the downloaded code in its own environment. |
The choice is not simply between two visual styles. An invitation asks a person to act; an informational toast reports something. Bootstrap cautions that users of keyboards and assistive technology may not reach actionable controls before an auto-hiding toast disappears. Its documentation states: “While technically it’s possible to add focusable/actionable controls (such as additional buttons or links) in your toast, you should avoid doing this for autohiding toasts.” For a message that requires a response, use persistent behavior rather than relying on a brief display window.

Accessibility checks before using an actionable toast
- Keep the invitation available. The unanswered state should remain visible until the person can respond. Provide a clear way to dismiss a persistent toast if it is non-dismissible by default; Bootstrap’s guidance says persistent, non-dismissible toasts need a close button.
- Do not make the action depend on a short timer. The three-second timeout Colorlib describes applies to the confirmation after a choice. Check that the confirmation is announced and that users can still understand whether their response succeeded.
- Prepare the live region in the page markup. Bootstrap recommends that the
aria-liveregion exist before its contents are updated, and recommendsaria-atomic="true"so the complete message is announced. - Match announcement urgency to the message. Bootstrap recommends
role="alert"witharia-live="assertive"for important or urgent content, androle="status"witharia-live="polite"for less urgent updates. An ordinary invitation confirmation should not be made assertive without a real urgency need. - Allow enough reading time. Bootstrap warns that toast delays should give users sufficient time to read the message. Test with keyboard navigation and screen readers rather than assuming a visual timeout works for everyone.
These points are Bootstrap’s published accessibility recommendations; Colorlib’s listing does not establish that every one is implemented in Toast V06. Inspect the downloaded markup and behavior, then adapt them to your application.
