Titan distributes its hosted custom-domain mailboxes through partner providers, and each partner sets its own plan names, billing terms, storage, trials, and feature bundles. Titan support materials describe reference tiers of 10 GB, 50 GB, and 100 GB, but a partner can offer a different lineup. Before paying, compare the specific seller’s checkout page for mailbox price, storage, aliases, 2FA behavior, forwarding, migration, and renewal terms.
How Titan Email is sold
Titan Email is a hosted mailbox service for organizations that want addresses on a custom domain. Titan says it does not sell mailboxes directly; customers obtain Titan-powered mailboxes from partner providers. That distribution model is the reason two buyers can see different prices or even different plan names for what is described as Titan Email.
A partner may bundle the mailbox with web hosting, sell it as an add-on, or present it as a standalone business-email option. The seller controls the checkout currency, billing cadence, trial, renewal price, migration service, support channel, and the exact features enabled on each plan. Treat every price and allowance as a description of that named partner plan, not as a permanent Titan-wide tariff.

The available official pricing guidance does not establish one portfolio-wide monthly price. Titan directs prospective customers to partner options, so the only reliable price is the one shown for the provider, region, mailbox count, billing term, and date on which you purchase.

The $3.50 figure is a monthly per-inbox example from the named partner page, not a guaranteed current Titan price. It may change, may be limited to a particular billing arrangement, and may not include a required hosting subscription. Check whether tax, domain registration, hosting, migration, extra mailboxes, and renewal charges are separate.
Calculate the cost for your mailbox count
Advertised prices are usually per inbox. Multiply the displayed per-inbox rate by the number of actual mailboxes, then add any required hosting or domain services. Aliases generally do not provide separate inbox storage; they route to an existing mailbox, but a seller can price aliases or additional addresses differently. Confirm this on the plan page rather than assuming that an unlimited number of addresses is included.
- Billing term: record whether the price is monthly, annual, introductory, or promotional.
- Renewal: look for the post-trial or post-introduction rate, not only the first invoice.
- Mailbox count: distinguish a user inbox from an alias, forwarding address, or distribution address.
- Bundle requirements: identify hosting, domain, or other services that must remain active.
- Taxes and currency: verify the amount displayed for your country at checkout.
How much storage do Titan mailboxes include?
Storage is both tier-dependent and provider-dependent. Titan’s support feature comparison describes 10 GB for Pro, 50 GB for Premium, and 100 GB for Ultra. Those are useful reference points, not a promise that every reseller offers those exact names or capacities. GoDaddy’s comparison, for example, shows a broader 1 GB-to-100 GB lineup, while the cited Pressable Standard example lists 10 GB and Name.com shows 10 GB and 50 GB business plans.

- Is the quoted capacity per mailbox, per user, or shared by the account?
- Do Trash, Spam, Sent, and archived messages consume the quota?
- What happens when the mailbox reaches its limit: rejection, throttling, or automatic deletion?
- Can storage be upgraded without changing the domain or migrating mail?
- Are backup or retention features included, or do they require a separate service?
Aliases: what you can create and what you can send from
Titan support defines an alias as a secondary address that delivers incoming mail to a primary mailbox. Its support material says an account can have up to 10 aliases. That limit should be treated as a Titan support statement, because a partner may package aliases differently or impose an account-level limit.
Receiving mail at an alias and sending mail with that alias in the From field are separate capabilities. Titan’s free-plan article lists “Send as Alias” among features excluded from the free plan. Therefore, an address can exist and receive messages while the permission to send from it is reserved for a paid plan or a particular partner tier.
Questions to ask about aliases
- Is the limit 10 aliases per mailbox, per domain, or per organization?
- Does an alias have its own login, storage quota, calendar, or contacts? An alias normally points to an existing inbox, but the seller must confirm the exact behavior.
- Can users choose an alias in the From field, and is that included in the advertised tier?
- Will replies preserve the selected alias, or revert to the primary address?
- Are catch-all addresses, role addresses, and forwarding-only addresses counted separately?
For a small business, aliases can cover addresses such as sales@, billing@, and support@ without paying for three separate inboxes. Use separate mailboxes instead when each person needs an independent login, quota, audit trail, or retention policy.

Forwarding limits vary by tier
Titan’s feature comparison lists different outgoing-forwarder counts across tiers, and partner bundles can use different limits. Because the available material does not provide one universally applicable number, do not copy a forwarding allowance from one seller into another provider’s plan.

Before relying on forwarding, determine whether the plan supports automatic forwarding to external addresses, whether the limit is per mailbox or per account, and whether forwarded messages retain the original sender information. If you plan to forward business mail to a personal account, also check the seller’s security and compliance terms.
Does Titan Email support two-factor authentication?
Titan support describes 2FA as an authenticator-app verification code required in addition to the password. Availability is plan-dependent in the partner material: Name.com’s Business Premium listing, for example, includes 2FA, while the exact inclusion for another seller must be checked on that seller’s plan page.
There is an important compatibility trade-off. Titan Mail Support states in its free-plan feature article: “Once you enable 2FA, you won’t be able to access your email through third-party apps like Gmail or Outlook.” In practical terms, enabling Titan’s 2FA can limit access to Titan’s supported web or mobile clients if your workflow depends on external mail applications. Confirm the current client policy before turning it on for a mailbox used by a team.

2FA decision checklist
- List every client and integration that accesses the mailbox, including desktop applications, mobile mail apps, shared-inbox tools, and automated systems.
- Ask the partner whether its Titan plan includes authenticator-based 2FA and which clients remain supported after activation.
- Enroll an administrator or test mailbox first, using the provider’s documented recovery method.
- Keep recovery codes or an alternative administrator process in a protected location.
- Only then enable 2FA for production mailboxes, and document the client-access change for users.
Security features: what is documented and what is not
Titan’s feature comparison lists custom DKIM and anti-spam/anti-virus filtering among plan features. Pressable advertises encryption, antivirus, and anti-spam security for its own Titan-powered add-on. These are vendor and partner product claims attached to named plans; they do not establish one identical security configuration for every Titan reseller.

Do not treat a marketing list as an independent security audit. The cited sources provide no named breach-rate statistic, uptime measurement, encryption-strength benchmark, or third-party certification that can be quoted as a universal Titan result.
Mail-client compatibility and migration
GoDaddy’s comparison lists IMAP and POP3 across its shown plans, but that does not prove every Titan partner exposes identical protocols or settings. If you need Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, a phone’s native mail app, or an automated IMAP client, verify the exact protocol support and authentication requirements for the provider you intend to buy from.
Migration is another seller-specific feature. Pressable advertises email-data migration for its Titan-powered add-on. That claim should not be generalized to every partner. Ask whether migration covers messages, folders, contacts, calendars, aliases, and historical mail, and whether the provider performs the work or supplies instructions only.
Migration questions that prevent surprises
- Which source systems are supported, and is an administrator account required?
- Will the old mailbox remain online during DNS propagation and the cutover?
- Are aliases and forwarding rules recreated automatically?
- How are duplicate messages and failed transfers reported?
- Is migration included in the trial or charged separately?
Compare partner plans with a consistent worksheet
Use the same fields for every seller so a low headline price does not hide a smaller mailbox or a missing security control.

- Review security and migration terms. Check DKIM, filtering, encryption claims, recovery procedures, migration scope, support, and data-retention language.

Which type of buyer should choose which tier?
Solo professional or very small team
A 10 GB mailbox may be sufficient when users archive attachments elsewhere and need only a few role addresses. Prioritize send-as-alias support, reliable mobile access, and a clear renewal price over a large unused quota.
Growing business with attachment-heavy mail
Compare the 50 GB reference tier and provider options above it, but verify whether the quota is per mailbox and whether old mail can be migrated without downtime. A larger quota does not by itself include better filtering, support, or retention.
Organizations that require external mail clients
Check IMAP or POP3 availability and the 2FA client caveat before selecting a plan. A security control that prevents the applications your staff rely on may require a different operating model or provider tier.

Give migration scope and support equal weight with price. A partner that advertises email-data migration may reduce project effort, but confirm exactly which data and settings are transferred and what assistance is included.

- Assuming Titan has one public price: compare the partner’s checkout and renewal terms instead.

If the seller cannot clearly answer the 2FA client question, alias send-as permission, storage scope, or migration responsibility, the apparent low price is not enough information to make a safe purchase.
