The TITAN ARMY C27A1S is described in secondary listings as a curved 27-inch gaming monitor with two headline modes: QHD (2560 × 1440) at 240Hz, or 720p at 400Hz. The 400Hz mode comes with a substantial resolution reduction; it is not 400Hz at QHD. The advertised $161 price is not verified by the available listings, which show $179 in one catalog view and $199 in another, as well as $199 in recent coverage. Without independent testing or a confirmed current price, this is a specification-based buying assessment—not a performance review or a confirmed bargain verdict.
What the C27A1S is reported to offer
Secondary sources identify the C27A1S as a curved 27-inch VA gaming monitor. One source reports 1500R curvature, while a retailer mirror describes the panel as Fast-VA. These are listing and overview claims, not independent measurements. The retailer mirror also advertises HDR400 and 99% sRGB; those specifications have not been verified against an official C27A1S specification sheet.
The key feature is its reported dual-mode operation. Vortex Gaming describes QHD at 240Hz and a reduced 720p mode at 400Hz; the retailer mirror also describes QHD 240Hz and a 400Hz DLG mode. The available accounts do not establish the exact setup steps, supported inputs, or other conditions for enabling the higher-refresh mode. Check the seller’s listing or documentation for your specific unit before buying on that basis.

| Reported mode | Resolution | Refresh rate | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| QHD mode | 2560 × 1440 | 240Hz | Higher resolution with a high refresh rate, according to secondary coverage. |
| High-refresh mode | 1280 × 720 | 400Hz | A much lower resolution paired with the reported 400Hz maximum; it is not QHD at 400Hz. |
Is $161 a real price—and is it a good buy?
The $161 claim is not substantiated by the available evidence. The 2K Monitor catalog shows $179 in one view and $199 in another, while Vortex Gaming also reports $199. These are listing claims, not a verified current checkout price or proof of a past $161 offer. Prices and stock can change; check the exact C27A1S listing, region, seller, and final checkout total before judging its value.

At any price, whether the trade-off makes sense depends on which mode you would actually use. The reported 240Hz QHD mode is the more resolution-conscious option; 400Hz is available only with the reported drop to 720p. No independent lab measurements or firsthand testing are established here, so there is no sound basis to rate its motion clarity, input lag, brightness, contrast, or overall gaming performance. Nor is there enough evidence to call it a better buy than competing QHD high-refresh displays.
What to check before buying
- Confirm the exact mode and connection: Verify how the 720p 400Hz mode works, which input supports it, and what settings or compatible hardware it requires. The available secondary descriptions do not settle those details.
- Check the stand and mounting options: Vortex Gaming says the included stand supports tilt only. The available sources do not establish the C27A1S VESA pattern or mounting limits, so verify those against documentation for the exact unit before choosing an arm or wall mount.
- Verify the package contents: Vortex Gaming reports that power and DisplayPort cables are included. Confirm this with the seller, since package contents can vary.
- Compare like with like: For alternatives, compare resolution at each refresh rate, independent measurements of motion clarity and input lag, panel behavior in dark scenes, stand ergonomics and verified mounting compatibility, and the transaction price and warranty terms. A catalog lists QHD options from KTC, ASUS, and Acer, but does not provide comparable test results.
- Keep model specifications separate: TITAN ARMY’s official P2710S page describes a different flat IPS monitor, not the C27A1S. Do not use its specifications to fill gaps in the C27A1S listing.
Sources and specification confidence
The model details above come from secondary product information, not a surfaced official C27A1S specification page or manual. The retailer mirror identifies the model as Amazon-sourced item ASIN B0H3ZP6MYW. Vortex Gaming provides the reported mode, curvature, stand, cable, and price details. The 2K Monitor catalog provides the $179 and $199 listing views and names comparison candidates. None of these sources supplies independent performance testing.
