Gizmodo reports that Donald Trump referred to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang as “Jensen Twaaaang” during a White House ceremony on October 8, 2026. The phrase echoes Trump’s earlier “Tim Apple” reference to Apple CEO Tim Cook. The new wording comes from a line attributed to Trump in an Aaron Rupar post reproduced by Gizmodo—not from an independently verified transcript.
What did Trump reportedly call Jensen Huang?
In a commentary published October 8, 2026, Gizmodo’s Matt Novak relays a post by Aaron Rupar that quotes Trump saying: “An amazing man — Jensen Twaaaang”. The remark was reportedly made at a White House ceremony that day. Gizmodo’s account is the basis for the quote here.
The event name is not consistent within the Gizmodo article: its body calls the gathering “A New Golden Age Summit,” while its image caption says “Golden Age of American Innovation Summit.” Without separate confirmation, neither should be treated as the established official name.
What does “Tim Apple” refer to?
“Tim Apple” is a callback to Trump’s earlier way of addressing Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, as recounted in the Gizmodo commentary. Novak uses the phrase as a satirical comparison: the article’s title frames the reported “Jensen Twaaaang” remark as the successor to the “Tim Apple” moment.

What is fact and what is commentary?
The quoted phrase and the earlier “Tim Apple” reference are presented in Gizmodo’s account. The article’s sharper political judgments are Novak’s commentary, not neutral reporting. It also speculates about Trump’s health based on speech, but provides no medical evidence or diagnosis. That speculation should not be read as a medical conclusion.
Gizmodo mentions other reported mispronunciations—including “Tesler,” “yo semites,” “vaygan,” and “smargy”—as secondary examples. They are not needed to establish the central comparison between “Tim Apple” and the reported “Jensen Twaaaang” line.
