TikTok’s current monetization program is called the Creator Rewards Program, not the Creator Fund. TikTok’s published criteria include at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the previous 30 days, but those are only two account requirements. Applicants must also be at least 18, use a personal account in good standing, and live in a market where the program is available. Videos must be original, high-quality and longer than one minute to qualify for rewards.
What TikTok requires to join Creator Rewards
TikTok’s March 18, 2024 announcement lists these account-level eligibility conditions:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have at least 10,000 followers.
- Have at least 100,000 video views in the previous 30 days.
- Use a personal account in good standing.
- Be in a market where the program is available.
The follower and view thresholds are separate requirements: reaching 10,000 followers alone does not establish eligibility. TikTok may also apply market-specific conditions, so check the Monetization or TikTok Studio area in the app for your account’s current status. TikTok’s program announcement describes the general criteria.
Which videos can earn rewards?
Eligibility to join the program is different from eligibility of an individual video to earn rewards. TikTok says reward-earning videos should be original, high-quality, and longer than one minute. A video that clears the duration threshold is not automatically eligible if it does not meet the other criteria.

TikTok says its rewards formula considers four factors:
- Originality: whether the content is original.
- Play duration: including watch time and completion rate.
- Search value: the video’s value in searches.
- Audience engagement: such as likes, comments and shares.
TikTok has not promised a fixed payment for a certain follower count or video length in the cited announcement. Meeting the account criteria and posting longer videos therefore does not guarantee a particular payout.

Why “Creator Fund” is an outdated name
TikTok announced in March 2024 that its Creativity Program had left beta and become the Creator Rewards Program. Creator Fund is the name associated with an earlier program, rather than the current program described in TikTok’s announcement. TikTok’s announcement explains the current name, while its historical Creator Fund FAQ covers the predecessor.

Availability and requirements can vary by market
TikTok limits eligibility to markets where Creator Rewards is available; the general criteria should not be treated as a guarantee that the program is open in every country or that every local rule is identical. For example, when TikTok announced the program’s Mexico launch on October 1, 2025, it specified local conditions including residence in Mexico and a public personal account, alongside adult age and the follower and recent-view thresholds. How to check your account
- Open TikTok and go to your profile.
- Open the app’s Monetization or TikTok Studio section. TikTok’s Mexico launch announcement specifically points creators to TikTok Studio; available labels and options may differ by market.
- Look for Creator Rewards and review the eligibility status shown for your account.
Program availability, in-app navigation and eligibility details can change. Use the status shown in your account rather than assuming a general threshold confirms that you can enroll.

In its March 18, 2024 announcement, TikTok said that 50% of its community’s viewing time was spent watching videos longer than one minute. That is TikTok’s own reported figure, not an independently established statistic. The announcement says the program will reward qualifying longer videos using the four-factor formula above; it does not say that duration alone guarantees earnings. TikTok’s announcement provides the context for the figure.
