Tidal Cyber announced a $10 million Series A on September 3, 2025. Bright Pixel Capital led the round, and existing investors also participated. The company said it would use the funding to accelerate product innovation and growth as it develops software intended to help organizations assess and improve defenses against real-world threats and adversary behavior.

What Tidal Cyber announced

The company’s September 3, 2025 announcement names Bright Pixel Capital as the lead investor but does not disclose a valuation or the individual amounts invested. It also describes Bright Pixel Capital as the technology investment arm of Sonae. Tidal Cyber named USAA, Squadra, Capital One, Veteran Ventures, Task Force X, and Ultratech among its existing investors.

Tidal Cyber said the proceeds would support product innovation and company growth. Its stated objective is a platform for measuring and improving the effectiveness of security stacks against real-world threats and adversary behavior. These details are from the company’s Series A announcement distributed by PR Newswire.

How the company describes its platform

Tidal Cyber’s threat-led defense approach organizes security work around adversary behavior, connecting threat intelligence with procedures, vulnerabilities, assets, and defensive controls. The premise is to move beyond disconnected views of threat intelligence, asset inventories, vulnerability lists, and security tools, and examine how defenses relate to the ways attackers operate. This is the company’s product description, not an independently verified measure of protection.

May 2026: CTI and procedure-level intelligence

In a May 13, 2026 release, Tidal Cyber described a CTI architecture that distinguishes MITRE ATT&CK intelligence from its proprietary threat intelligence. It said the platform operationalizes procedure-level intelligence, linking threat information to vulnerabilities, assets, and defenses so teams can identify where defenses may fail during real attack execution. The company’s May 2026 CTI architecture announcement explains this design; it does not independently demonstrate that the platform prevents attacks or improves outcomes.

July 2026: asset visibility and vulnerability prioritization

On July 13, 2026, Tidal Cyber announced Threat-Led Asset Visibility and Threat-Led Vulnerability Prioritization. The company says its approach links vulnerabilities to adversary procedures and operational tradecraft, and assesses assets based on their relevance to attacker execution. Rather than relying only on severity rankings, it frames the prioritization question as: “Which vulnerabilities materially increase the likelihood of attacker success against the assets and procedures that matter most?” That wording comes from the company’s July 2026 product announcement.

Earlier product positioning

A 2023 announcement described an Enterprise Edition and a free-to-use Community Edition, with features such as threat profiling, prioritized defensive actions, security-stack mapping, and posture assessment. That release documents the company’s packaging and feature descriptions at the time; it should not be taken as confirmation of current editions or pricing. Funding chronology

The Series A followed two earlier company-announced rounds. Amounts below are the amounts stated in the company announcements, not an independently verified total of capital raised.

Announcement Round or event Announced amount Lead investor
December 9, 2022 release, which dates the event October 4, 2022 Funding round $4 million Ultratech Capital Partners
2023 Seed round $5 million Squadra Ventures
September 3, 2025 Series A $10 million Bright Pixel Capital

The earlier-round details appear in Tidal Cyber’s 2022 funding announcement and 2023 seed announcement. Adding the announced amounts gives $19 million across those three announcements, but that arithmetic is not evidence of a complete or independently verified fundraising total.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish

The funding release establishes the amount, lead investor, participation by existing investors, and the company’s stated plans for the proceeds. The subsequent releases show how Tidal Cyber has described its product direction through July 2026. The cited company announcements do not state a valuation or provide independent, quantified customer results, performance measurements, or return-on-investment figures. Product capabilities and expected benefits should therefore be understood as vendor claims rather than demonstrated outcomes.
