The December 2026 announcement is for a Gran Turismo 7 steering wheel and pedal bundle—not a new Gran Turismo 7 game. Thrustmaster says its officially licensed T-GT III bundle will be available from December 3, 2026, at a U.S. recommended retail price of $749.99; retailer prices may vary.
What is the December 2026 Gran Turismo 7 release?
It is the Thrustmaster T-GT III, a steering wheel and pedal bundle designed for Gran Turismo and officially licensed for Gran Turismo 7. Thrustmaster says it is intended for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The announcement does not confirm a new Gran Turismo game.
Thrustmaster describes the T-GT III as its first Direct Axial Drive bundle designed for Gran Turismo. Its included wheel has a leather finish and four rotary encoders mapped for Gran Turismo. The company presents the bundle as turnkey, but has not yet detailed every component or published independent performance results. These specifications and descriptions are manufacturer statements, not hands-on findings. Thrustmaster’s announcement says further details will be revealed in the coming months.

What does Spec IV have to do with it?
The announcement also gives a schedule for the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV free update. Thrustmaster says it is planned in two parts: the first for October 2026 and the second for December 2026. That is a planned update schedule, not confirmation that either part has shipped, and it does not mean a new game is releasing in December.
