Samsung announced its “Welcome to Foldables” campaign across Europe on 7 October 2026, featuring former Arsenal and France player Thierry Henry alongside three Galaxy Z devices. The videos cast the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra as a multitasking phone, the Galaxy Z Fold8 as a screen for watching football and the Galaxy Z Flip8 as an everyday selfie phone. These are Samsung’s campaign scenarios, not independent product-test findings.
What Samsung’s campaign shows
The video series follows different versions of Henry through a day, using each device in a different situation. Samsung’s framing is that the Galaxy Z range can suit different lifestyles and moments.

What Henry and Samsung said
In Samsung Spain’s announcement, Henry described himself as a longtime Samsung user and said the Galaxy Z series suits his need for versatile products. He also noted that each device is different, as are the stages of people’s lives and careers.

Samsung Electronics Europe CMO Benjamin Braun said Henry represents versatility and excellence, adding that the Galaxy Z range reflects the idea that people have more than one facet and that there is a device for every lifestyle, aspiration and moment. These remarks are Samsung’s promotional framing of the campaign.
Samsung reports higher European sales
Samsung says combined European sales of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra were 50% higher than Galaxy Z Fold7 sales over the same period since launch. The company’s announcement does not give unit counts or explain how it made the comparison, so the figure should be understood as Samsung’s reported claim rather than independently verified sales data.
