HotHardware’s December 2, 2024 Cyber Monday roundup listed seven OLED or QD-OLED gaming monitors, with reported Amazon prices from $549 to $949. Those are historical prices—not current offers or a check of today’s availability. The models ranged from 27-inch QHD screens to a 49-inch 32:9 display, so the useful comparison is as much about screen format and refresh rate as about the old discounts.

What the 2024 roundup listed

The table reflects the prices and discounts HotHardware reported for Amazon on December 2, 2024. It is a record of that day’s deal roundup, not a current buying guide. HotHardware described QHD as 2560×1440, WQHD ultrawide as 3440×1440 at 21:9, and UWQHD as 5120×1440 at 32:9.

How the screen sizes and refresh rates compare

27-inch QHD: prioritize fast refresh

The Samsung Odyssey G60SD and MSI MAG 271QPX were the roundup’s 360 Hz options. Both pair that high refresh rate with a 27-inch QHD format; the MSI is identified as QD-OLED. The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG was the other QHD choice, at 240 Hz. These are the roundup’s standard-format options rather than ultrawides.

34-inch ultrawides: choose among three refresh rates

The Acer Predator X34, Alienware AW3423DWF, and Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 were listed as 34-inch WQHD ultrawides. Their reported rates range from 165 Hz on the Alienware to 175 Hz on the Philips and 240 Hz on the Acer. HotHardware characterized WQHD ultrawide as 3440×1440 at 21:9. The Acer’s listed 800R curve is a further distinction.

49-inch super-ultrawide: a 32:9 format

The Samsung Odyssey G93SC was the largest OLED in the roundup: 49 inches, 5120×1440 UWQHD, and 240 Hz. At 32:9, it is a substantially wider format than either standard QHD or the 21:9 34-inch monitors. HotHardware reported Samsung’s phrase “the absolute immersive experience” as marketing language, not an independent assessment.

The roundup’s non-OLED alternative

HotHardware also mentioned an INNOCN 49-inch VA LCD at a reported $594 after an $80 Amazon coupon on December 2, 2024. It is not OLED and should not be counted among the seven OLED or QD-OLED monitors. The article listed 5120×1440 resolution, 120 Hz, HDR400 (not True Black), and a claimed out-of-box DeltaE under 2. Those are the article’s reported specifications and claim, not a current offer or independent test result.

What the article says about OLED burn-in

Burn-in is a relevant consideration if a display repeatedly shows static elements, such as a game HUD, for long periods. HotHardware advised lowering brightness when displaying static content for extended periods. It also asserted that tests required thousands of hours to burn in a current-generation OLED at maximum brightness, but did not identify a test lab, monitor model, protocol, or publication date for that claim. It should not be treated as a lifespan guarantee or a quantified prediction for any of these monitors.
