The Xteink X4 Classic and X3 were reported on sale for Amazon’s October Prime Day, October 6–7, 2026, at $69.99 and $58.65, respectively. Those dates have passed, so the reported prices may no longer be available. More importantly, both devices are limited to DRM-free e-books: they are not straightforward replacements for a Kindle library.

Which model makes more sense?
On the reported sale prices alone, the X3 cost $11.34 less than the X4 Classic. The available offer information does not establish a rigorous difference in screen, battery life, or performance, so price and library compatibility are the meaningful factors supported here.

Will these tiny e-readers work with a Kindle library?
Do not count on transferring a Kindle library to either model. The Revision reports that both the X3 and X4 Classic read DRM-free e-books only. That restriction is a key buying consideration: these credit-card-sized devices suit readers who can provide compatible, unprotected books, not people seeking a simple substitute for reading purchases in the Kindle ecosystem.
What to know about portability and charging
The appeal highlighted for these devices is their credit-card-sized portability. The deal report also says both use magnetic pogo-pin charging rather than USB-C, so expect a different charging arrangement from a typical USB-C device. It does not provide a side-by-side battery or other hardware specification comparison.
