The UGREEN Nexode Air 65W and Rolling Square 65W are compact, single-port GaN chargers; in Android Central’s comparison, the Nexode Air was the better value at the prices reported, while the Rolling Square won on tactile design. The title’s “smallest” reflects reviewer Harish Jonnalagadda’s experience, not a measured ranking of every 65W charger: the article gives exact dimensions for the Rolling Square but not the Nexode Air.

At a glance: two compact, single-port 65W chargers

Both chargers use gallium nitride (GaN) and provide one USB-C port. That makes them straightforward travel options if you need to power one device at a time, but neither can charge multiple devices simultaneously.

Rolling Square 65W, US variant 70 g; exact dimensions not stated in the article Prongs fold inward The article describes the charger’s PD 3.0 profiles up to 65W and PPS Not stated for this variant in the article

The Rolling Square measurements are variant-specific: the dimensions and 73 g figure apply to the EU version tested, while 70 g applies to the US version. These figures and the comparison prices are reported by Android Central, not independently measured or price-checked here.

Which charger makes more sense for travel?

Choose the Nexode Air for value and protocol flexibility

At the prices reported on September 25, 2026, the Nexode Air cost $24, down from $39, compared with $49 for the Rolling Square. Those are publication-time figures, not guaranteed current prices. The Nexode Air also has independently listed support for PD 3.2/3.0, AVS, and PPS on UGREEN’s product page. UGREEN says that regional listing includes a 1-meter USB-C-to-USB-C cable; check the local product listing for plug and package details.

Choose Rolling Square if the textured exterior matters most

Jonnalagadda personally preferred the Rolling Square’s textured sides because they made it easier for him to hold and plug into a wall. That is a subjective design advantage, not a charging-performance claim. The US version’s inward-folding prongs may also suit a travel bag better than the protruding pins on the EU version he tested.

Neither is right if you need multiple ports

Each charger has one USB-C port. If you routinely charge a phone and another device at the same time, a multi-port charger is a better fit than choosing between these two.

What the reported charging tests show—and don’t show

Jonnalagadda says he tested both chargers with an iPhone 17 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Find X9 Ultra, iPad Pro M4, and about a dozen power banks. He reported reliable charging across those devices and a slight Nexode Air edge when leaving a phone connected overnight, because it switches to trickle charging. These are the author’s observations from his reported tests, not a guarantee for every device or setup.

He also reported little temperature difference between the chargers while charging two Pixel phones side by side, despite Rolling Square’s cooling claim. That limited observation does not establish a general thermal comparison under other workloads or conditions.

Check compatibility before expecting 65W

A charger’s 65W maximum is not a promise that every connected device will draw 65W. The device, charging protocol, and cable all affect the power available in a particular setup. Both products provide a single USB-C port, and UGREEN’s regional Nexode Air listing says a 1-meter USB-C-to-USB-C cable is included. Confirm the cable and plug details for the listing you intend to buy.

For a 65W travel charger, the practical choice is therefore less about the headline wattage than the features you value: the Nexode Air was the stronger value in the dated comparison, while the Rolling Square offered the reviewer’s preferred grip and a measured EU-variant footprint.
