The reported deal was for the eight-book paperback Witcher box set on Amazon Australia: PC Gamer reported AU$67.99, down from AU$140, on 18 September 2026. That is a dated Australian offer—not a live price check for 7 October, or proof that the set was at its lowest price of 2026. The available records do not verify the headline’s “lowest price all year” claim for the same edition, retailer, and market.
What was the reported deal?
PC Gamer reported on 18 September 2026 that Amazon Australia had the eight-book 2024 paperback box set for AU$67.99, compared with a listed price of AU$140. PC Gamer’s deal report is evidence of that offer on that date; it does not establish the price currently available on 7 October or show that it was the year’s lowest price.
Whether AU$67.99 is a good price for you also depends on the live listing’s seller, stock, delivery charges, and delivered total. Check that the listing is for the eight-book set before comparing prices.
Which books are in the eight-book set?
The set covered by the Australian deal is the 2024 paperback edition. It contains eight books:
#1 Best Overall
- The Last Wish
- Sword of Destiny
- Season of Storms
- Blood of Elves
- Time of Contempt
- Baptism of Fire
- The Tower of the Swallow
- The Lady of the Lake
Crossroads of Ravens is not included. The set therefore should not be mistaken for a complete collection of every main Witcher book.
Is it really the lowest price of the year?
That claim is not established by the available price records. The Australian deal report gives a price on 18 September, but does not independently document a full 2026 price history for the same Amazon Australia listing. A dated discount from a stated regular price is not, by itself, proof of a yearly low.

Other records cannot confirm the Australian claim because they track different products or markets:

To substantiate a year-low claim, the comparison needs to cover the exact eight-book edition at the same retailer and in the same market over the relevant period. Compare delivered prices and availability as well as sticker prices.

Hachette lists a separate five-novel Witcher Saga Boxed Set: Blood of Elves, The Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of Swallows, and The Lady of the Lake. Its product page showed US$89.99 and sold-out status when accessed; that is a page snapshot, not a verified live offer. Hachette’s product page
Hachette’s catalog separately lists the five-book set under ISBN 9780316498845 at US$79.99 / CAN$101.99 and a two-book Witcher Stories boxed set at US$29.99 / CAN$37.99. These are catalog prices, not confirmed current retail offers. Hachette catalog
Because the eight-book set and five-book Saga set contain different titles and come from different listings, comparing their sticker prices alone can be misleading. Match the contents, ISBN or edition, seller, market, stock status, and delivered total before deciding which offer is better.
Quick Recap
What to check before buying
- Confirm the listing names the eight-book 2024 paperback set and shows the expected contents.
- Check the seller, stock status, shipping charge, and total delivered price for your location.
- Read the offer date carefully: the AU$67.99 report was published on 18 September 2026 and does not confirm today’s price.
- Treat a “lowest price this year” label as unverified unless a price history covers this exact edition, retailer, and market for the relevant year.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
