Cat School gear is called Feline gear in The Witcher 3. The basic set has seven diagrams—four armor pieces, two swords, and a crossbow—and its scavenger hunt is recommended for level 17. The upgrades run through Enhanced, Superior, Mastercrafted, and Grandmaster, with level requirements of 23, 29, 34, and 40. “Remastered” is retained from the requested title, but this guide does not treat it as the name of a separate official edition.
What Cat School gear includes
The basic Feline set is a light-armor set built around attack power rather than the stronger damage resistance associated with heavier armor. That makes it a fit for an offensive, mobile play style, not a universally best set. The base hunt covers locations around Velen and Novigrad and is recommended for level 17. The Official Witcher Wiki’s basic-hunt reference lists seven diagrams:

Basic Feline diagrams: level 17
The four armor diagrams are together in one dungeon; the crossbow and swords are found separately. The armor-dungeon entrance is concealed by an illusion, so you need Keira Metz’s Eye of Nehaleni to enter.

- Go to the cavern beneath Temple Isle in Novigrad and use the Eye of Nehaleni on the illusion at the entrance.
- Proceed through the cavern, dealing with the golem and using the statue levers to open the pool area.
- Find the key at the bottom of the pool and use it to open the locked door.
- Loot Mad Kiyan to collect the Feline armor, trousers, boots, and gauntlets diagrams.
Crossbow: the Flying Stag
Search the wreck of the Flying Stag, on an island off Novigrad’s west coast. The Feline crossbow diagram is inside the ship.

Steel sword: Drahim Castle
Search the basement of Drahim Castle, south of Novigrad, for the Feline steel sword diagram.
Silver sword: Est Tayiar
At the Est Tayiar ruins northeast of Oxenfurt, use Aard to break the concealed wall and reach the Feline silver sword diagram.
Upgrade levels and map vendors
Non-Grandmaster Feline upgrades are found through scavenger hunts started by buying Adalbert Kermith maps. The maps help add quest markers and journal tracking, but they are not required to collect diagrams: you can go directly to the locations. The listed level requirements are 23 for Enhanced, 29 for Superior, 34 for Mastercrafted, and 40 for Grandmaster. Witcher Stream’s Feline set guide gives those tier thresholds.

Where to find Grandmaster Feline gear
Grandmaster Feline is part of the Blood and Wine expansion. Visit Lazare Lafargue near Beauclair’s main market to begin the Grandmaster scavenger hunt. The six diagrams are split across three Toussaint locations:
- Villa Vedette: The Grandmaster Feline armor diagram is behind a painting.
- Arthach Palace ruins: Find the boots and trousers diagrams at the Hanse base.
- Pits of Brume: Find the gauntlets and both sword diagrams here.
The hunt’s journal directions point you through these locations; read the witcher’s journal when you reach the relevant part of the quest.
Choosing Feline gear
Feline armor favors attack power over damage resistance, so it suits players who want an offensive build and are comfortable taking less protection than a heavier set offers. The level requirement and expansion access also matter: the base set starts at level 17, while Grandmaster requires level 40 and Blood and Wine. There is no supported version-specific or controlled ranking that makes Feline the best choice for every build.
