The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is an enjoyable, deliberately paced solo brawler built around familiar characters and places from the series. It is easiest to recommend to fans who want to fight through the All Out War storyline; a short campaign and no multiplayer make it a weaker fit for players seeking a long or social beat ’em up.
What you do in Streets of Survival
Trailmark Games describes the game as a modern beat ’em up based on The Walking Dead’s All Out War storyline. You play as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and unlock Negan while battling walkers and the Saviors in locations including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria. The official description lists melee and ranged attacks, signature weapons, boss encounters, multiple difficulty levels, and an optional Easy Mode. Trailmark Games’ official game page has the feature and story overview.

How the combat and campaign hold up
Combat has weight, but may feel stiff
The two reviewed experiences converge on a useful point: the fighting can be satisfying, but it is not a fast, fluid combo showcase. Gaming Cypher reviewer Nick Navarro described the combat as enjoyable but stiff and slower than a flashy combo-focused brawler. PlayStation Universe reviewer Michael Harradence also found combat enjoyable, while flagging sticky controls and enemies he considered cheap. That makes responsiveness the main uncertainty for players who care most about precise, smooth controls.
A brief story with reasons to replay
Navarro reported roughly a dozen levels and a campaign that took a few hours to complete. Harradence highlighted difficulty settings, wave battles, collectibles, exploration, and meaningful character upgrades as replay incentives. Negan unlocks after completing the missions and can be used for another run, according to Harradence. These options can extend play, but they are not additional story campaigns.
Who should play it?
- Walking Dead fans: The recognizable cast, signature weapons, familiar locations, and All Out War setting give the game its clearest appeal.
- Retro brawler players: Consider it if a slower, more deliberate brawl sounds appealing. The reported stiffness and sticky controls mean it may disappoint if you expect especially fluid, combo-heavy action.
- Players looking for co-op: Look elsewhere. The US PlayStation Store lists one player, and both reviewers identify the lack of multiplayer or co-op as a drawback.
- Players wanting a long campaign: The reported few-hour story is short. Replay options add challenges and another character run, not a longer narrative.

#1 Best Overall
- Reawaken a Classic – Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game, now reconstructed using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine to deliver realistic visuals and additional narrative depth to the iconic story that was not possible at the time of the original release.
- Modernized Gameplay – The team from 2019’s Resident Evil 2 returns to build upon the series’ modern approach to survival horror. Engage in frenzied combat with the Ganados villagers, explore a European village gripped by madness, and solve puzzles to access new areas and collect useful items for Leon and Ashley’s constant struggle to survive.
- Overwhelming Hordes – Face hordes of rabid enemies that threaten to overwhelm Leon with even more diverse methods of attack than in the original release.
- Survive on a Knife’s Edge – Years of intense training have taught Leon new ways to use his knife, helping to even the odds against the unrelenting onslaught of enemies. By parrying enemy attacks, you can avoid debilitating damage and evade lunging enemies seeking to grab Leon and hold him in place. Make smart use of scavenged knives to deliver precise finishing moves on vulnerable enemies, and even use the element of surprise to quietly dispatch unsuspecting foes before they break.

| Edition | US store price | Included content |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $19.99 | Base game |
| Deluxe Edition | $29.99 | Base game and Arcade Apocalypse Pack: Bloody Lucille and Tactical Magnum weapon skins, a Civic Republic Military Rick skin, Walker Pit endless survival combat mode, HELL ON EARTH difficulty without checkpoints, and the digital soundtrack |
| Arcade Apocalypse Pack | $14.99 separately | The pack’s skins, Walker Pit mode, HELL ON EARTH difficulty, and digital soundtrack |
At the observed US prices, Deluxe is $10 more than Standard and bundles the pack that was listed separately for $14.99. Its value depends on whether you want the extra challenge mode, no-checkpoint difficulty, cosmetics, and soundtrack; the extras do not change the short story campaign into a longer one.
