The Talos Principle III’s gameplay reveal trailer was released on October 8, 2026, by developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital. It is the first public look at the game in action. The trailer does not come with a confirmed release date: Gematsu reports a 2027 launch, while the official Steam and PlayStation Store pages give no fixed date. The game is listed for PC via Steam and for PS5.
What the trailer is and when it arrived
The reveal was published on October 8, 2026. Gematsu’s report from that date confirms that Devolver Digital and Croteam released the gameplay trailer and reproduces the publisher’s overview of the game. The official Steam Community announcement feed also carries the gameplay-reveal post, which sits alongside an earlier May 13 announcement that explains the trilogy’s narrative intent.
What the trailer shows
The official listings and the reporting available at the time do not provide a shot-by-shot description of the video. This article therefore does not assign specific mechanics to particular moments in the trailer. The features described below come from the publisher’s own description of the game, not from individual scenes. If you want to know exactly what appears on screen, watch the trailer directly on the official Croteam or Devolver Digital channels.

The official description places the protagonist in the Anomaly, a contradictory place where the laws of physics do not behave as expected. Gematsu’s reproduction of the publisher overview describes crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts within it. The story follows an explorer with fragmented memories as they work through increasingly complex puzzles and uncover the history of the world humanity built.

The publisher lists both new and familiar puzzle mechanics, along with optional pursuit of deeper secrets. The concluding chapter is described as character-driven and written by Jonas Kyratzes, Verena Kyratzes, and Tom Jubert. The game also features an original score by Damjan Mravunac.

How the trilogy fits together
The official Steam announcement frames the trilogy as three chapters in the history of robotic humanity. It says this game follows the future world created after The Talos Principle II, and it identifies the Anomaly and new puzzle mechanics as elements of this final chapter. The announcement also states: “Just as Talos II was not the same game as Talos I, so this last game in the series will be unique in its own ways.” That line comes from the official announcement itself. The page does not name an individual speaker.
Based on the sources available, The Talos Principle III is confirmed as a PC and PS5 game with no fixed release date, a 2027 target from Gematsu, and a published PC specification. Anything beyond those points, including how the trailer’s scenes map onto the game’s mechanics, will need to be checked against the trailer itself and the finished release.
