The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle was reported at $449 during a U.S. holiday promotion in December 2025—$50 below its then-listed $499 price. That was a past sale, not a verified current offer. Nintendo’s current U.S. announced bundle price is $549.99.
What the $50-off deal was
Nintendo Life reported on December 2, 2025, that Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy were offering the bundle for $449, down from $499. Tom’s Guide separately reported Best Buy’s $449 price on December 23 and said that offer was scheduled to end December 25, 2025. These reports document a historical promotion; they do not confirm current prices, stock, or availability. Nintendo Life’s December 2025 report and Tom’s Guide’s Best Buy deal report provide the details.

What the bundle costs and includes now
Nintendo’s current U.S. announcement lists the bundle at $549.99. It includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system, a full download of Mario Kart World, and a 3-month (90-day) Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. The game is a download, not described as a physical game card. Nintendo says the bundle saves $37.98 compared with the separate suggested retail prices of its included components. That is a comparison against suggested prices, not a promise that every retailer’s separate-purchase total will match. See Nintendo’s bundle announcement.

Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 deal coverage lists the bundle at $549. Retailer prices can differ, so check the seller’s current listing and checkout total before buying. The reviewed coverage does not establish that a $50 discount is active now. Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 deal roundup is a separate retailer-price reference.

How to decide whether the bundle is good value
| Your situation | What to compare |
|---|---|
| You want the console, Mario Kart World, and online membership | Compare the seller’s bundle price with the current prices of the same components purchased separately. Nintendo’s $37.98 saving uses separate suggested retail prices. |
| You already own Mario Kart World | Compare the bundle with the console-only price; the included game may not add value for you. |
| You are looking for the reported $50 discount | Check live listings directly. The documented $449 offer was from December 2025, and the reviewed sources do not verify a current repeat of that sale. |
Membership terms and purchase checks
Nintendo says the included Nintendo Switch Online membership auto-renews after its initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Availability is not offered in all countries, and internet access is required for online features. Nintendo’s retail offers page provides the offer terms. Before placing an order, confirm the live price, stock, delivery timing, and membership terms with the retailer; Nintendo says availability is while supplies last.
For context, Nintendo’s U.S. page states that the suggested retail price of the standard Switch 2 system became $499.99 on September 1, 2026. This is the system-only price and should not be confused with the $549.99 announced bundle price.
