Frogwares says The Sinking City 2 Update 1.1.0 is live, with HDR features, AMD FSR 4.1.1, gameplay adjustments, new outfits, and a broad set of fixes. The Steam demo has also returned, and the developer says demo saves carry over to the full game. The official patch notes do not give a total of 150 fixes.

Is the Steam demo back, and do saves carry over?

Yes. Frogwares’ October 6, 2026 Steam announcement says the demo is available again and that progress from it carries over to the full game. The announcement does not state how long the demo will remain available.

What Update 1.1.0 adds and changes

HDR and graphics options

Frogwares lists HDR output for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The patch notes say HDR follows the system’s HDR setting rather than forcing HDR on when that setting is disabled. They also describe HDR10+, a brightness calibration screen with a peak-brightness range of up to 500 nits on all displays, and multi-monitor HDR support on PC. These are the developer’s specifications, not independent compatibility or brightness tests.

On PC, the update adds AMD FSR 4.1.1 to the video settings and a legacy mode for NVIDIA DLSS. The notes also include a fix for a visual glitch when switching DLSS off during gameplay at 4K and 1440p. Frogwares does not provide benchmark results, so the feature list does not establish a particular frame-rate improvement.

Combat and encounter tuning

The update retunes encounters in “The Wake-Up Call,” “A Sight for Sore Eyes,” “Time and Tide,” and “Cold Comfort.” Frogwares says it reduced enemy counts and adjusted wave composition in fights players had found overwhelming. Explosive props are meant to be easier to read visually; explosive gas cans and the grenade launcher deal more damage; and the wait before a Slither weak point becomes vulnerable is shorter.

Outfits, progression, and other fixes

Update 1.1.0 adds two Calvin outfits, The Warlock and The King in Yellow, and unlocks Pure New Game after a completed playthrough. It also changes how upgrades carry into Ex Oblivione and awards Dream Essence when a player finds an upgrade they already own.

Does the patch really include over 150 fixes?

GamingShogun described the update as having “over 150 fixes,” but that figure is not stated in Frogwares’ official Update 1.1.0 notes. Treat it as the outlet’s characterization, not an official or independently verified count. GamingShogun also reported PlayStation Plus and Xbox trials; the official announcement cited here does not confirm those trials.

What to know if you encounter visual glitches

Frogwares’ support page currently includes a known-issues note saying that changing settings midgame may cause visual glitches. That listing may not reflect the state after Update 1.1.0, so it is support guidance currently surfaced on the site—not confirmation that the issue remains unresolved in this patch.
