Roborock’s robot floor cleaners are not one feature set under one name. Its current US range spans several families, and the Q, Qrevo, and Saros models differ in how they map and avoid obstacles, how they mop, how much their docks handle without you, how tall they are, and which app functions they support. The practical way to choose is to start from the exact model you are considering and check its own product page, because shared branding does not mean shared features.
The details below come from Roborock’s US product pages, checked in early October 2026. They are manufacturer descriptions and specifications. They are not independent test results, so read them as what Roborock says each model does, not as a ranking of how well it performs.
What the Roborock US range covers
Roborock’s US robot vacuum catalogue lists products across the Q, Qrevo, and Saros families. The table shows the features that the cited official pages attach to specific models. Where a page does not state a value, the cell says so rather than filling it in from another model.

Because the families are sold under one brand, it is easy to assume that a newer model simply adds to an older one. The table shows that is not reliable. Navigation systems, mop hardware, and dock functions have to be checked model by model.

Navigation and obstacle sensing
Roborock uses three different system names in the pages cited here. Each describes a different model, and none of them should be read as a universal Roborock feature.
PreciSense LiDAR
LiDAR uses a spinning laser sensor to measure distances around the robot and build a floor map. Roborock’s Q series page identifies PreciSense LiDAR on the listed Q models, and the Qrevo S Pro page names the same sensor as part of its LDS system. Mapping is what makes room-by-room cleaning, no-go zones, and route viewing possible, so a model with LiDAR is the one to look at first if you want the app features described below.

Reactive Tech structured light
The Qrevo S Pro page pairs its LiDAR-based LDS system with Reactive Tech structured-light obstacle avoidance. Structured light projects a light pattern ahead of the robot and reads how it deforms over objects, which helps the robot respond to what is directly in its path. Roborock’s page presents this as obstacle avoidance on that model. Do not assume the same sensing appears on other Qrevo models unless their pages say so.

The Saros 10R page describes StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 as its navigation system. The page is the only source for this guide’s description of StarSight, so the claims about it are Roborock’s own. If you are comparing it with a Qrevo or Q model, compare the sensing descriptions on the two pages side by side rather than assuming the names describe equivalent hardware.

Mopping: what to check before you buy
Roborock’s Qrevo S Pro uses dual spinning mops. The Q series page says mopping systems differ across its products. That means a Q model and a Qrevo model may both be sold as robot vacuum and mops while handling floors in different ways.
Two things matter in practice and are model-specific. The first is carpet behavior: find out whether the robot lifts or avoids its mop on carpet, and whether the page describes how it handles that transition. The second is mop handling: check how the mop is attached and removed, and what the dock does with the mop after a cleaning run. None of the pages used here provides independent comparative results for how well any of these systems clean carpets or hard floors, so the answer to “does it mop well?” has to come from reviews or your own trial rather than from a manufacturer spec.

Dock automation: what it removes and what remains
Roborock’s US store overview describes docks that can empty dust, wash and dry mops, and refill water. Those functions vary by dock and by model, so a dock that empties dust is not guaranteed to wash mops.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Dust emptying: automates emptying the robot’s dust container into the dock. Confirm the model supports it before counting on it.
- Mop washing and drying: automates cleaning the mop and drying it between runs. Check whether your model’s dock offers this, because it is the function most likely to differ between models.
- Water refilling: automates refilling the clean-water supply for mopping. It is only useful on models that mop.
- Still yours: emptying and cleaning the dock’s dirty-water and waste containers, rinsing or replacing mop components, and replacing consumables such as filters and brushes. The store overview does not promise that any Roborock is maintenance-free, and this guide does not claim that either.
Will it fit your home?
Height is the first measurement to check. The Saros 10R product page lists its height as 7.98 cm (3.14 inches). Clearance under a sofa or bed needs to be greater than the robot’s height, with some room to spare for the robot’s own body and any obstacle it may pass over. Other models list dimensions on their own product pages, including the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro, so take those numbers from the page for that model rather than from this guide.

For ultimate hands-free convenience, use voice commands via Alexa or Google Home to start, stop, pause, resume cleaning, or send your robot back to the dock effortlessly
Use this sequence before you buy:
- Open the exact model’s product page and note its listed height and dock dimensions.
- Measure the lowest clearance under furniture you want the robot to reach, and compare it with the listed height.
- Measure the floor space in front of and beside the spot where you plan to put the dock, not just its footprint.
- Check any threshold or floor-transition claims on the page and compare them with the steps, rugs, and door tracks in your home.
- If the model is for a home where the robot will encounter several low obstacles, weigh its obstacle sensing (in the navigation section above) against those measurements.
App features and their limits
Roborock says its app supports route viewing, maps, schedules, and no-go zones. Those features depend on the robot’s mapping, so they are most relevant to LiDAR-equipped models. Roborock also states that the app is unavailable on E series models. If you are looking at an E-series robot, do not rely on the app features above. For any other model, check the exact product page and your region, since app support can vary by market.
Choosing a model
Work through these questions in order. Each one narrows the list before you compare prices.
- Do you need the app for maps and no-go zones? If yes, exclude E-series models and confirm the model’s mapping hardware on its page.
- Do you need mopping? If yes, compare mop hardware and carpet handling on the specific pages. If you only need vacuuming, mop systems matter less.
- How much hands-on upkeep do you want to avoid? Compare the dock functions the model’s page lists, and assume that anything not listed is still your job.
- Will it fit? Check the listed height against your lowest furniture and the dock footprint against your floor space.
- Which obstacle-sensing system matches your home? Compare the described systems (LiDAR, Reactive Tech structured light, StarSight 2.0) for the models that remain on your list.
Replacement parts and accessories
Roborock’s store lists an accessories category, and replacement dust bags, mop cloths, filters, and brushes are the parts most buyers reorder. Compatibility is model-specific. Before buying any part, confirm it matches your exact robot and dock model number, because the cited pages do not establish compatibility across the whole lineup.

What the evidence does and does not establish
What is established: these are the features and specifications that Roborock’s own US pages list for the named models. Those pages describe LiDAR, structured-light, and StarSight navigation on specific models, dual spinning mops on the Qrevo S Pro, a listed height for the Saros 10R, a listed suction rating for the Qrevo S Pro, a claim of more than 300 detectable obstacles for the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro, and an app that is unavailable on E-series robots.
What is not established: independent comparative test results for cleaning, navigation accuracy, or obstacle handling; long-term reliability; repair costs; exact accessory compatibility across the lineup; and how specifications compare outside the US. A suction rating or an obstacle count is a manufacturer figure and does not show that one model cleans better than another. Verify volatile details, including prices, availability, and feature lists, on the model’s current page before you buy.
