Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige arrived on Netflix in the US on October 1, 2026. The 2006 film stars Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and Michael Caine; Netflix’s spoiler-light description follows two rival magicians whose increasingly risky tricks turn deadly. Netflix availability varies by country, so the US arrival does not guarantee it is in your local catalogue.
Which Christopher Nolan movie is on Netflix?
The title is The Prestige, not Interstellar. Netflix Tudum’s October 2026 arrivals schedule lists The Prestige for October 1. A separate Tudum watch guide also identifies it as a Christopher Nolan thriller and lists the same date.

Is The Prestige on Netflix in your country?
The arrival is confirmed for the US market, not every Netflix region. Netflix’s official title page identifies the film but reports it unavailable in the country associated with that page. Catalogue rights differ by market, so check Netflix in your country for current availability. Netflix’s Interstellar page likewise shows that availability can vary by country; it does not mean Interstellar is the film arriving in the US.
For a dated US cross-check, JustWatch reported on October 6, 2026, that it found The Prestige on Netflix after checking 374 services. Streaming catalogues can change, so treat that listing as a snapshot rather than a guarantee of future availability.
#1 Best Overall
What is The Prestige about?
Released in 2006, The Prestige stars Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and Michael Caine. Netflix describes it as a story about two rival magicians trying to expose each other’s secrets as their tricks grow more dangerous. That setup is enough to identify the film without spoiling its central reveal.
The “greatest sci-fi twist” wording is a subjective headline, not an official Netflix genre label or an established ranking. Netflix categorizes the film across drama, thriller, mystery, and period-piece titles, while Tudum calls it a thriller. Its speculative element is part of the premise, but the movie is not best described as simply a science-fiction film.

Can you buy The Prestige instead?
For US viewers who want a copy, JustWatch’s October 6 listing also showed DVD and Blu-ray purchase options through Amazon DVD / Blu-ray. Check the live listing for current stock, seller, edition, and region compatibility before buying; the listing is not a guarantee of inventory or price.
