The next live-action Transformers movie has a recognizable creative team taking shape: Steven Spielberg is returning as an executive producer and is reported to oversee the franchise’s creative direction, while Jason Fuchs is writing the script. Michael Bay is in early talks to direct, according to TheWrap—not confirmed as the director. Variety said no director had been announced in its report. The reports are compatible on the key point: Bay is a possibility reported by TheWrap, not a confirmed director.

Is Michael Bay directing the next Transformers movie?

Is this the 1986 movie’s 40th-anniversary theatrical return?
