Short answer: The New Denpa Men currently has an offline feature called Offline Catch, but Genius Sonority has not confirmed whether it will still launch after the game’s service ends on December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The publisher says the main game requires an online connection, so do not assume the full game will remain playable offline.
What is confirmed to work offline?
Genius Sonority’s official FAQ says, “Only offline catch can be played offline.” In other words, Offline Catch is the only mode the publisher currently identifies as playable without an internet connection. The main game requires a Nintendo Account and an online connection.

The Switch release description also includes Offline Catch in its internet-communication game environment. That confirms it is an existing Switch feature, not an offline version of the whole game. Neither the FAQ nor the shutdown announcement says that Offline Catch will continue to start once the service has ended.
What happens when the servers close?
Genius Sonority’s October 5, 2026 end-of-service announcement schedules the end of service for December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. It does not announce an offline conversion, a patch that removes the online requirement, or continued access to Offline Catch after that date. Whether Offline Catch will still launch is therefore unconfirmed.

The publisher says that after service ends, in-game data such as Jewels and items will no longer be available. Any event still in progress at the shutdown will end partway through. Do not count on the main game, event progress, or stored in-game data being available after closure.
What players should do before December 7
- Use paid Jewels before service ends. The publisher recommends using them because in-game data will no longer be available after closure.
- Record your Support ID. The announcement says it can be checked from the app’s title screen through March 31, 2027.
- Keep the app installed and on its current device. Do not delete it or reinstall it on a new device until the paid-currency refund procedure is complete; the publisher says app data may be needed to verify inquiries.
- Check the official announcement for refund instructions. Genius Sonority says the request period and procedure will be published after service ends. The October 5 notice does not provide those details.
Paid-item sales ended at 11:00 JST on October 5, 2026, when the shutdown announcement was issued.

Does the mobile version provide an offline alternative?
No. Genius Sonority’s mobile release notice says the iOS and Android versions do not include Offline Catch or Together Catch. The mobile version supports cross-platform play and account-linked data, but moving to mobile is not a documented way to keep playing offline.

The Switch 2 release notice says that version shares gameplay and save data with Switch through the same Nintendo Account, but simultaneous play on both devices is not supported. It does not say that Switch 2 removes the online requirement or preserves play after service ends.

As of Genius Sonority’s October 5, 2026 announcement, the safe answer is that the main game depends on online service and the future of Offline Catch after December 7 remains unknown. The publisher has not promised that any mode will remain accessible after the shutdown.
