A fan-made HD texture pack gives the original GameCube and Wii versions of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a higher-resolution visual treatment on PC. Henriko Magnifico’s project includes 4K and 1080p options and supports Dolphin as well as the Dusklight and Courage Reborn recompilation ports. It is not a Nintendo release, and it is not a mod for the separate Wii U game Twilight Princess HD.
What the Twilight Princess HD texture pack includes
Henriko Magnifico describes the project as a fan-made, non-commercial texture replacement pack. The creator reports more than 1,800 custom 4K textures, remade from the ground up, with coverage across most game areas. The project is not complete: some interiors and dungeons are still uncovered, and the creator estimates overall completion at about 80%. These are creator-reported counts and an estimate, not an independent audit. Check the creator’s project and download page for current details.
The 4K set is scaled to eight times the game’s default texture resolution; the 1080p set is scaled to four times the default. Some textures in the 4K version can reach 4096 × 4096 pixels. The stated aim is to add detail while retaining the original game’s visual style.

The pack is listed for the GameCube and Wii releases, and for two PC recompilation ports: Dusklight and Courage Reborn. The creator lists Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS support for the recompilation-port versions. The original GameCube and Wii route uses Dolphin, a GameCube and Wii emulator that supports enhanced rendering and PC controllers. Dolphin’s official site describes its features and supported platforms.

These routes are distinct from the Wii U remaster, Twilight Princess HD. The texture pack’s GameCube/Wii files are not established as a Cemu mod for the Wii U game. Cemu’s graphic-pack instructions describe that emulator’s separate workflow; they do not make this pack compatible with the Wii U edition.
The creator says the modified textures cover Global, NTSC, and PAL versions. The pack may still work with Japanese and Korean releases, but region-specific textures are not all included. The creator’s page provides separate setup guides for Dolphin and the recompilation ports.

How to install and choose a version
First choose the game edition and play route you actually use. Then download the matching pack variant and follow the corresponding guide on the creator’s page. The creator’s public download section currently lists 4.0d releases for Dusklight in 4K, 1080p, and mobile 1080p, plus a GameCube/Wii release for Dolphin. It also lists 4.0 early-access downloads for Dusklight and GameCube/Wii. Download labels can change, so confirm the current version and instructions on the page before installing.

For the GameCube/Wii route, the creator recommends Ishiiruka-Dolphin for material maps and custom shaders, and notes that this fork is Windows-only. Standard Dolphin is a separate option, but the creator’s specific recommendation reflects the pack’s effects support. Performance and graphics caveats
High internal rendering resolutions and large replacement textures can increase resource demands. The creator suggests lowering internal resolution and reducing or disabling anti-aliasing if the game stutters, and recommends enabling “Prefetch Custom Textures” when textures or gameplay lag. These are the creator’s troubleshooting recommendations, not guaranteed fixes.
Dolphin’s Twilight Princess Wii reference documents possible visual side effects: anti-aliasing or forced filtering can make minimap borders glitchy, while bloom may scale incorrectly at higher internal resolutions. Adjust enhancements individually if an effect looks wrong; a higher resolution does not guarantee every effect will render as intended.

What changed in the January 2026 update
The creator’s January 1, 2026, version 3.0 post reported more than 530 new 4K textures, including environment, UI, and character work, alongside post-processing shader changes. Follow-up notices dated January 3 and 4 described a Dolphin update addressing texture pop-in when entering new areas, performance and stuttering changes in some situations, and water and cobweb improvements. This is historical version context: the creator’s download page now lists 4.0 files, so version 3.0 is not the current public release label. Read the creator’s dated 3.0 update and patch notices.
Is this an official PC release?
No. This is a fan-made texture project for supported versions of the existing game, not a new PC release from Nintendo. You need a supported GameCube or Wii game for the Dolphin route, or the applicable recompilation port for its version of the pack. The Wii U remaster remains a separate edition with a separate setup path.
