The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is not getting a new game release on October 9, 2026. Nintendo says music from the Nintendo 64 game will be added to its Nintendo Music listening service that day. The original game is already playable through Nintendo 64 Nintendo Classics for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
What is releasing on October 9?
Nintendo’s October 5, 2026 announcement schedules music from Majora’s Mask for Nintendo Music on Friday, October 9. The announcement says the selection includes the main theme and music from various scenes, but does not give a complete track list or total track count. It also does not specify an exact rollout time for each region.
This is a soundtrack-library addition—not a launch date for a new playable edition, remake, or remaster. Nintendo’s announcement is in Japanese.
