To complete The Last Taxi in CONTROL Resonant, find seven anomalous cabs across Manhattan, answer the phone inside each threshold, and solve the visual puzzle—or, at The Park, repair the stripped taxi. After the seventh cab, answer the phone once more to finish the side story. Puzzle types can vary between playthroughs, so match the clue you see to the solution below rather than relying on a zone-to-puzzle pairing.
How to start each taxi threshold
- Look and listen for a nearby cab: guides report that it honks, flashes, and appears on the map or minimap when you are close.
- Enter through its open door and follow the ringing phone to the payphone. Answer it and speak with Mila before trying to choose a puzzle taxi.
- Read the clue in the threshold, then use the matching puzzle section below. A correct selection receives green feedback; a wrong one receives red. Guide accounts say completed rounds remain complete after a wrong pick.

Use the visual behavior in your threshold to identify the puzzle. These guide-reported sequences are organized by clue, not by taxi zone, because guides report that the challenge can differ between playthroughs.

Overhead streetlight rhythm
- Choose the cab beneath the only flickering streetlight while the others stay solid.
- Choose the cab beneath the only steady light while the others pulse.
- Watch a full cycle and choose the lamp that stutters out of sync.
Front and rear taxi lights
- Choose the only cab with its headlights on.
- Choose the only cab with an illuminated TAXI roof sign.
- Choose the vehicle with both headlights and rear lights on at the same time.
Headlight flash rhythm
- Watch one complete cycle and choose the headlight that falls out of beat with the others.
- Choose the cab with the unique rapid double flash.
- Choose the vehicle that stays dark and never flashes.
Proximity-reactive roof signs
- In the documented sequence, choose the single sign already lit before you approach. Another guide describes a ticking signal clue for a related first round, so rely on the behavior shown in your game and confirm by the green feedback.
- Stand beside the cars and choose the sign that stays lit while decoys go out.
- Approach the wrong cars, then look down the line for the distant sign that lights up.
The Park: repair the taxi
This threshold asks you to clear gray mold and install matching parts rather than select a cab. Police lights and a lighter-yellow hood are reported decoys.

- Remove the mold, then install the matching yellow hood and trunk lid.
- Install two wheels and the yellow hood. Leave the blue hood alone.
- Destroy the smaller linked growths before attacking the central mass. Install the five matching pieces: yellow front hood, TAXI roof sign, yellow front quarter panel, trunk lid, and rear bumper grille.
Underpass: blackout window
Make each selection during the blackout.
- Choose the cab whose roof sign remains lit.
- Choose the taxi that becomes completely dark.
- Choose the cab that is dark while the streetlights are on but flashes its roof sign during the blackout.
Unknown: hand light and shadows
Pick up the portable floodlight and shine it from behind the vehicles so their shadows fall on the wall. Focus on the silhouette and roofline, not the front lights.

How to finish The Last Taxi
Repeat the entry, phone, and clue-matching process for all seven cabs. Once the seventh threshold is complete, answer the final phone call; that last response closes out the side story.
