Yes. The Crew Motorfest added Kauai as a free island with Season 11 on October 7, 2026, and the update also includes the free Kauai Expeditions playlist. The paid Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau experience is separate: it unlocks Niʻihau through the Year 4 Pass or standalone DLC.
What the free Kauai update adds
Ubisoft describes Kauai as wilder and less populated than the other islands in The Crew Motorfest, with an emphasis on exploration and off-road driving. Its notable terrain includes dense swamps, where difficult ground slows vehicles, and Red Canyon, a major natural formation.

The Season 11 overview lists 95 km of asphalt routes and 105 km of off-road routes on Kauai, according to Ubisoft in 2026. The island lies north of Oʻahu.
Kauai Expeditions playlist
The free Kauai Expeditions playlist is built around exploring the island, clearing paths, and discovering terrain. Some activities use a new winch feature on selected vehicles to move cargo or clear obstacles; the feature is not described as available on every vehicle.

Season 11 also introduces route discovery and wildlife across the islands. Ubisoft says more than 40 wildlife species can be found across the archipelago. Its announced lineup of 20 new vehicles is deployed over the season and has multiple unlock paths, so the figure does not mean all 20 are free.
What is free, and what costs extra?
Kauai and Kauai Expeditions are the free additions relevant to the island announcement. They are not the same content as Niʻihau, which is part of the premium Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau adventure released alongside Season 11.

Do you need to own the game?
The free island update is an update to The Crew Motorfest, not a free copy of the game. Ubisoft lists the game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as access through Ubisoft+. Ubisoft says the Switch 2 version launches October 8, 2026.
