The new trailers for The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem spotlight two minigames: Wobbly Golf and Ball Crawl. They are part of a larger family game built around a hide-and-seek mode and 18 minigames, not a separate release. The game is planned to launch on October 30, 2026.

Outright Games and Dr. Seuss Enterprises shared trailers for Wobbly Golf and Ball Crawl, as reported by Nintendo Insider on October 1, 2026. The available announcement names the activities but does not provide enough detail to establish their rules or how they play.
What else is included in Rainy Day Mayhem?
Find the Cat
The publisher describes Find the Cat as a hide-and-seek pursuit through the house. Its product page says the mode takes place across 14 rooms.

Wobbly Golf and Ball Crawl join a collection of 18 minigames. Other publisher examples include catching runaway penguins and decorating supersized cakes.

Characters and difficulty
Playable characters announced so far are Sally, Johnny, Thing 1, Thing 2, and Little Cat A; the Cat in the Hat and the Fish guide the action. Outright Games describes the controls as easy and says challenges vary in difficulty and length. Those are publisher descriptions, not independently verified assessments.
How many people can play?
The game is announced for solo play or local multiplayer with up to four players. Nintendo’s Switch listing specifies one to four players on a single system and says each player needs a compatible controller, so additional controllers may be required.

When and where is the game coming out?
Outright Games lists a planned release date of October 30, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Nintendo UK also lists October 30 for the Switch version. The date is still in the future as of October 3, 2026.
The publisher says the game will be available digitally and at retail. Nintendo’s listing confirms the Switch edition and date, but does not establish that a particular store has a live listing or stock. Check the platform and edition before purchasing. The available announcements do not establish differences in features, performance, or price between versions.
