Spoilers for Lacra’s quest milestones and romance choices. To pursue Lacra in The Blood of Dawnwalker, keep her alive and allied, continue her personal quests through The Night of Horrors, and take the later scene one choice at a time. The mandrake opens the opportunity; it does not automatically commit Coen to intimacy. Following Lacra, drinking when offered, and agreeing to the kiss are separate decisions.
How Lacra’s romance route works
Walkthroughs identify Lacra as one of three romanceable characters and report that Coen can pursue all three rather than being required to choose an exclusive partner. The route-specific advice below is based on guide-reported choices; the developer has not published an official checklist of Lacra’s hidden relationship flags.
Creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirmed romance options and the ability to build relationships with characters in a GamesRadar interview, but that general statement does not confirm Lacra’s specific requirements: GamesRadar interview.

Keep her alive and allied
Do not take a branch that kills Lacra. An independent walkthrough reports that her death prevents continuing her personal story. Preserve your working relationship so her optional quests remain available.

Continue her personal quests
PC Gamer identifies Hive and Seek, Our Rotten Roots, and The Night of Horrors as milestones in Lacra’s route. In Hive and Seek, the guide reports that choosing “Now you’re just showing off” and then “Quite so” adds flirtation. It also says the Kobold choice does not affect the romance, so that decision is not a reported route blocker.
Manage the private-memory disagreement
An independent walkthrough says respecting Lacra’s warning about her private memory avoids an argument. If Coen enters it, the guide describes apologizing as a way to repair her attitude; it also reports that showing interest during a later swamp conversation can qualify Coen for the subsequent invitation. These are walkthrough-reported ways through the situation, not officially documented hidden checks.

Reach The Night of Horrors
Continue Lacra’s personal story until The Night of Horrors. The independent route guide describes returning after the search for Isbrand, then following the quest through the swamp to Kallias’s crypt, where the mandrake decision leads into the evening’s separate romance branches.
The game’s time system makes optional relationship activities compete with other quests. As you plan progression, avoid letting other objectives prevent access to Lacra’s personal questline.

Choose how far to take the mandrake scene
The mandrake, following Lacra, drinking, and kissing are distinct decisions. According to the independent walkthrough, accepting the mandrake opens later choices but does not force intimacy. To reach the intimate scene, follow through with the offered steps:
- Accept the mandrake if you want to open the later scene choices.
- Follow Lacra when the opportunity arises.
- Drink when she offers. The walkthrough says refusing can end the evening without the intimate scene.
- Agree to the kiss if you want the intimate scene; the guide says refusing the kiss can also end the evening without it.
These choices determine whether Coen follows through that evening; taking the mandrake by itself is not a single, final romance toggle.
