The Men’s Health roundup behind “This Is Still the Best Water Bottle We’ve Ever Tried” names the YETI Yonder its best overall bottle and the Stanley Quick Flip Go its best stainless-steel pick. Those are the publication’s editorial judgments, not a universal ranking: the Yonder is a light, non-insulated plastic bottle, while an insulated steel bottle is the more relevant choice when keeping drinks cold is the priority.
What the roundup chose—and what that means

It reports that editors used bottles in hot and cold conditions, at the gym, outdoors, on bike rides, flights, and commutes, assessing design, material, size, features, and price. Cap, drinking, and care
The two-part cap provides a controlled drinking spout; its lower section opens for refilling or washing. YETI calls the cap 100% leakproof, but says the non-insulated bottle may “break a sweat.” The leakproof claim is specifically about the cap, not a guarantee that condensation will not form on the bottle.
YETI says the bottle and cap are dishwasher safe. The Men’s Health article separately reports that its editors observed no taste or material breakdown after dishwasher use for nearly two years; that is the editors’ reported experience, not a guarantee for every bottle or care routine.

Important use limits
- YETI says not to use the bottle or cap for hot or carbonated beverages.
- Do not use it to store food or perishables.
- Because it is non-insulated, it is not the choice in this comparison for retaining a drink’s temperature.

Check the opening and cap
A chug-style spout suits someone who wants to drink directly from a controlled opening. Also consider how the bottle opens for cleaning and refilling, and check whether the cap’s leakproof claim applies to the cap alone or to the entire bottle under specified conditions.
Match capacity and carry weight to the setting
