There is no single best OLED TV for everyone in 2026. The strongest recommendations come from independent reviewers who reached different conclusions for different buyers. RTINGS names the Samsung S95H its best OLED. What Hi-Fi gives the Sony BRAVIA 8 II its all-round recommendation and says a discounted LG C5 may be the better value than the newer C6. TechRadar, in an October 5, 2026 update, names the LG C6 its best 65-inch TV.
This guide sorts those picks by what you will actually use the TV for: a bright living room, movies and HDR, gaming, value, or a specific screen size. It draws on those named reviews and on manufacturer specifications. It does not present first-hand lab results from the author.
Who recommends which OLED, and why they differ
The three most-cited picks answer different questions. Reading the reason behind each one matters more than the headline ranking.
Recommended Free Tools
| Publication | Pick | Stated reason | Context to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|---|
| RTINGS | Samsung S95H (its best OLED) | Strong reflection handling, brightness, contrast and viewing angles | Ranking reflects its 2026 OLED guide and S95H review |
| What Hi-Fi | Sony BRAVIA 8 II (holistic recommendation) | All-round movie performance | Discounted LG C5 may be the better value than the C6, at the time of its guide |
| TechRadar | LG C6 (best 65-inch TV) | Best choice within the 65-inch category | Update dated October 5, 2026 |
In practical terms, the S95H is the pick for a bright room, the BRAVIA 8 II for film-first viewing, the C6 for a broad choice of sizes, and a discounted C5 for buyers who care most about price per picture quality.

Samsung S95H: the bright-room and gaming choice
What it does well
RTINGS calls the S95H its best OLED of 2026. Its review credits the set with strong reflection handling and good brightness, contrast and viewing angles. If your main room has large windows or lamps you cannot switch off, these are the qualities that matter most, and they are the reason this model leads that guide.
Features and sizes
- Four HDMI 2.1 ports, supporting up to 4K at 165Hz, according to the RTINGS review.
- Sizes reported as 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches.
- RTINGS tested the 77-inch version, so its measured results apply most directly to that size.
Check the model name
RTINGS notes that the S95H is sold as the S99H in some regions. Search for both names when shopping outside the United States, and confirm that the model number on the box matches the review you are reading.
LG C6: broad size coverage and a 65-inch pick
Sizes and launch prices
LG’s official US release for its 2026 OLED lineup lists the C6 in six sizes: 42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches. The starting US manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is $1,399. The same release lists launch MSRPs of $1,999 for the 55-inch model and $2,699 for the 65-inch model, with availability from March 2026. These are launch prices, not current retail prices, and discounts since then are likely. Check a live listing before you decide.

Why TechRadar picked it
TechRadar’s October 5, 2026 guide names the 65-inch C6 its best 65-inch TV. That is a category pick, not an overall verdict, so it does not mean the C6 beats the S95H or BRAVIA 8 II across all rooms.
Panel detail to verify
What Hi-Fi reports that LG confirmed the 77- and 83-inch C6 models use Brightness Booster Pro. It could not confirm the panel technology of the 48-inch model in its review, and its identification of that panel is an inference. If you are buying the 48-inch size, treat its specifications as unconfirmed until LG or a retailer lists them.
Sony BRAVIA 8 II: movies and HDR
RTINGS points readers who prioritise Dolby Vision and image processing toward the BRAVIA 8 II. What Hi-Fi gives it the holistic recommendation in its guide, based on controlled testing against rival sets. For a dark room where films, streaming HDR and shadow detail come first, it is the strongest case in this shortlist. Confirm that its sizes and price suit your room before buying, because those details change by region and retailer.

Value: when the older model wins
What Hi-Fi says the C6 improves on the C5 in several picture areas, but that a discounted C5 remains its better-value recommendation at the time of its guide. This is a time-sensitive judgement. A C5 at a steep discount may outperform a full-price C6 for your money, while a C6 at a small premium may be worth it for its newer features.
Tom’s Guide describes the LG B6 as a value or entry-level pick and reports model promotions. Promotional prices can expire quickly, so use them as a starting point and verify the price on the day you buy.
Matching the TV to your room
| Your priority | Start with | Verify before buying |
|---|---|---|
| Bright living room with windows | Samsung S95H (RTINGS) | Whether the S95H or S99H is sold in your region; whether the 55 to 83-inch size you want is available |
| Movies and HDR in a darker room | Sony BRAVIA 8 II (RTINGS and What Hi-Fi) | Local size range and street price |
| Gaming with multiple consoles or PCs | S95H, which has four HDMI 2.1 ports rated up to 4K/165Hz | Port count, supported refresh rates and features on the exact model and size you choose; other models were not described to the same level in these reviews |
| Lowest price per picture quality | Discounted LG C5 (What Hi-Fi), or the LG B6 at a promotional price (Tom’s Guide) | Current price, since discounts and promotions can end |
| A specific size, such as 65 inches | LG C6 (TechRadar’s 65-inch pick) | Current price and local availability of the exact size |
Before you buy
- Confirm the regional model number. The S95H and S99H naming overlap is real.
- Check the exact size and current price on the retailer’s listing, not only the launch MSRP.
- If you plan to wall-mount the set, check the TV’s VESA pattern, weight and size limits, and the mount’s compatibility with it before buying the bracket.
- Review the gaming features on the exact model and size. Port count and refresh rate can vary across a range.
How this guide was assembled
The recommendations above summarise named reviews from RTINGS, What Hi-Fi and TechRadar, along with LG’s official 2026 release and the reviews’ own specifications. What Hi-Fi describes its method this way: “We never review a product in isolation or gauge performance based on memory.” That is its own methodology statement, and it describes how that publication tests, not how this article was produced. Where the reviews disagree, this guide reports the disagreement rather than choosing a side.
