The headline does not identify which Konami game you finished, so there is no reliable way to rank Nintendo DS games by how closely they match it. Instead, choose by the kind of experience you want next: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for 2D action, The World Ends With You for unusual touch-led RPG combat, or Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective for a story-driven puzzle mystery.
Choose by the experience you want next
| If you want… | Try… | What it offers |
|---|---|---|
| Side-scrolling action and abilities earned from enemies | Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow | A 2D adventure in which Soma Cruz fights enemies and collects their souls to gain attacks. |
| An unconventional RPG with dual-screen combat | The World Ends With You | A Tokyo-set story starring Neku, with attacks activated through stylus gestures or microphone commands. |
| A mystery built around logic puzzles | Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective | A ghostly detective story where manipulating objects helps investigate a murder and avert deaths. |
These are choices by gameplay and tone, not verified closest matches to the unidentified Konami game. The title alone does not establish whether you want similar combat, atmosphere, story, or difficulty.
For 2D action: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
In Nintendo’s UK listing, Dawn of Sorrow is described as a 2D side-scrolling adventure. Soma Cruz infiltrates a cult’s base, battles enemies, and collects their souls to acquire new attacks. That makes it the clearest pick here if the Konami classic you finished was Castlevania, or if your main priority is 2D action with enemy-derived abilities.

For touch-led RPG combat: The World Ends With You
The World Ends With You takes a different route: Nintendo classifies it as an RPG, with Neku at the center of a story set in Tokyo. Combat spans both DS screens, and attacks are triggered using stylus movements or microphone commands. Pick it when you want a distinctive handheld control scheme and a story-focused RPG rather than a side-scrolling action game.

For a narrative puzzle mystery: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
If what you want is a strong mystery rather than action combat, consider Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Sissel is a murdered amnesiac who returns as a ghost; possessing and manipulating objects helps him investigate what happened and prevent deaths. Its central appeal is solving problems through the environment and following the story.

How to make the closest recommendation
To identify a true follow-up rather than a broad alternative, start with the Konami game’s name and the feature you most want to carry forward—combat, atmosphere, story, or challenge. Without that reference, the three picks above are best treated as distinct DS experiences, not a definitive similarity ranking.
