Buy the version whose title explicitly says iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro. Do not assume that a Thin Fit case for one model fits the other.
Shop for an iPhone 17 Pro case or select the separately labeled iPhone 17 version. Check that the listing says MagFit or MagSafe-compatible if you use magnetic accessories.

1. Match the exact model, not just the screen size
The shared 6.3-inch display is not enough to make cases interchangeable. Apple lists these dimensions:
- iPhone 17: 149.6 × 71.5 × 7.95 mm
- iPhone 17 Pro: 150.0 × 71.9 × 8.75 mm
The Pro is taller, wider, and substantially thicker. The camera layout and button geometry also differ. A case that is slightly too small may not seat correctly; one that is too large can leave the phone loose, misalign buttons, or expose part of the camera assembly.

Before ordering, check all three places where model errors commonly occur:
- The product title says iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro.
- The variant selector has the correct model selected, rather than the seller’s default.
- The product photographs and specifications match the phone’s camera opening and Camera Control area.
2. Confirm MagSafe or Qi2 compatibility
Both iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro support MagSafe wireless charging up to 25W and Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W. A thick or non-magnetic case can reduce the usefulness of that hardware even if the phone itself supports it.

4. Separate protection claims from test results
