For an air-fryer game-day spread, make chicken wings the centerpiece, add a filling potato or nacho snack, include a vegetable-forward option, and round things out with a few quick finger foods. Cook in batches that leave room for air to circulate, and use a food thermometer to check poultry rather than relying on the timer alone.
Start with chicken wings
Wings are a satisfying centerpiece, and you can choose between a simple seasoned batch and a sauced Buffalo-style version. Cooking times vary by recipe and appliance, so treat these as recipe-specific directions rather than a universal schedule.
Frozen paprika-seasoned wings
Pillsbury’s kitchen-tested recipe uses frozen wingettes and drumettes, seasoned with paprika. It calls for a single layer at 400°F for 20 minutes, turning the wings halfway through. The recipe serves four and recommends cooking in batches sized for the air fryer. If frozen wings have ice crystals around them, brush the ice off first. Pillsbury’s method takes about 15 minutes for thawed wings.
Milder Buffalo wings
For a Buffalo variation, McCormick Kitchens uses Frank’s RedHot Mild Wings Hot Sauce and gives a cooking time of 25–30 minutes, tossing the wings every five minutes. This is a different recipe from Pillsbury’s, not an alternative timing for the same preparation; follow the recipe you choose and check that the chicken is safely cooked.

Check safety and texture separately
USDA FSIS recommends cooking poultry to a safe minimum internal temperature of 165°F, measured with a food thermometer. Pillsbury says it prefers its wings at 180–190°F for a crisp exterior and its preferred texture. That higher temperature is the recipe’s quality preference, not a different safety minimum.
Give hot air room to move: keep wings in one layer and size each batch to your appliance. Refrigerate uncooked wings that are waiting for a later batch.

Add a substantial potato or nacho snack
Loaded waffle fries are an easy way to make the spread more filling. Ninja Test Kitchen’s recipe cooks frozen waffle fries and wings in separate baskets or zones, then finishes the fries with cheese and toppings. Its timing and setup are written for a particular dual-zone appliance; use your own air fryer’s instructions rather than assuming those directions transfer unchanged.
Other hearty options include nachos, potato skins, and tater tots. They offer different ways to add a shareable, starchy snack alongside the wings; the recipes and cooking times depend on the specific preparation and appliance.

Include a vegetable-forward choice
Battered mushrooms, eggplant fries, and edamame can bring something besides meat and potatoes to the table. Fried pickles and jalapeño poppers add a tangy or spicy option. These are ideas for variety, not foods tested against one another for cooking time or results; check the recipe and package directions for the particular item.
Round out the spread with quick finger foods
Frozen mozzarella sticks and spring rolls are convenient options when you want something that can go from freezer to fryer with little preparation. Tater tots and frozen appetizers can also fill gaps between freshly cooked batches. Follow package directions for frozen foods, since cook times and appliance guidance differ by product.

A mix of ready-to-cook items and one homemade snack can reduce last-minute prep without making the whole menu feel alike.
Plan batches around your air fryer
Air fryers work as countertop convection ovens, and the time food takes depends on the appliance’s size and power. USDA FSIS says air-fried foods generally take 5–25 minutes at 350–400°F, but those broad ranges are not a substitute for the specific recipe or package directions.

Handle leftovers safely
Refrigerate perishable leftovers within two hours, as USDA FSIS advises. For the Pillsbury wing recipe specifically, cooked wings can be refrigerated for up to three days and reheated to 165°F. That storage window is recipe-specific; apply the USDA timing guidance to the rest of the spread and follow any applicable package or recipe instructions.
