If your family wants another fantasy after The Sisters Grimm, start with Apple’s family-programming slate: My Brother the Minotaur, WondLa, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory or Pinecone & Pony. They are possible next watches, not exact substitutes: the available descriptions do not establish that each has the same sister bond, fairy-tale mystery or tone. Check current availability where you live before choosing.
The Sisters Grimm follows sisters Sabrina and Daphne as they investigate their missing parents in a town where fairy-tale characters are real. Its second season premiered October 2, 2026, so this is a guide to what to watch after the currently released episodes—not a claim that the series is finished.

What makes a good follow-up to The Sisters Grimm?
The show combines animated fantasy-adventure, fairy-tale characters, a continuing family mystery and a close sister relationship. A follow-up may match one of those elements without matching them all. Apple’s U.S. listing describes the show as mildly scary and marks it 8+; it also lists TV-G. Those are Apple’s labels, not a universal age recommendation, so parents should use their judgment for a particular child.

Is mythic or fairy-tale fantasy more appealing than a broader adventure? Would you rather have a gentle family tone or something scarier? And is a continuing mystery important, or would a different kind of story work? The available descriptions do not answer all of these questions for each candidate below.

Apple family-fantasy candidates to try next
Apple’s family-programming slate names these four series as possible starting points. The distinctions below are deliberately limited to what is established: their titles and inclusion in that slate make them candidates to investigate, but do not establish matching plots, age suitability or current regional streaming access.
My Brother the Minotaur
Consider this if you want to look for another family series with a mythic-creature connection. The title suggests a different folklore lane from The Sisters Grimm; the available information does not establish its story structure, scare level or whether it features a sibling mystery.
Rank #2
WondLa
This is another Apple-listed family title to check if you are open to a fantasy-adventure that need not repeat the Grimm fairy-tale premise. The available information does not establish how closely its tone or relationships resemble Sabrina and Daphne’s story.
Wolfboy and the Everything Factory
Try this as a family-programming candidate if a more imaginative-sounding world is appealing. Its inclusion in Apple’s slate does not by itself confirm a fairy-tale setting, a continuing mystery or the same level of scariness as The Sisters Grimm.
Rank #3
- Fantasy Island (Season 1)
- Fantasy Island (Season 1)
Pinecone & Pony
This is a further Apple-listed option to investigate if the priority is another family series rather than a direct match for the missing-parents mystery. The available details do not establish that it shares the anchor show’s fantasy creatures or sister-led adventure.
Should you watch The Grimm Variations?
It shares a connection to Grimms’ fairy tales, but it is not a straightforward family-friendly pick: Netflix’s Media Center classifies The Grimm Variations as Horror. Treat it as a tonal contrast, and check its current local listing and suitability before watching with children.
Rank #4
Want more of Sabrina and Daphne?
Michael Buckley’s The Sisters Grimm book series is the source series for the television adaptation, according to Apple. It is the most direct next step if the appeal is the same characters and world. Check the edition and availability with a bookseller or library; the source relationship alone does not establish that any particular edition is a TV tie-in.

How to make the choice
- For a folklore or mythic-creature lead: investigate My Brother the Minotaur, while checking its actual tone and story details.
- For another Apple-listed family series without assuming it is a close match: compare WondLa, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory and Pinecone & Pony using their current platform descriptions.
- For the same characters and setting: try Buckley’s source book series.
- For a darker fairy-tale reinterpretation: consider The Grimm Variations only with its Horror classification in mind.
Streaming catalogues vary by country and can change; Apple’s announcement of a family-programming slate does not establish that every title is currently available in every market.
